dear mummies , for long n worries ..im now here at 2nd stage
hope mummies here can shre more on urs experience ..
just received dr call this morning say tat i hv to go for check up n also do bl;ood test , im so curious to ask him i just did my oscar n also blood test at tmc on 26/10 , how come need to do again ?? he say is a difference blood text ,OSCAR + blood test only check on Down sym , ... god !!!how come not doin at the same time only 1 week time i neeed to go see dr AGAIN !!! ????

Yup, I have taken 2 blood test as well which is one at NUH for testing for Down Syndrome & another blood rest at the clinic which actually check for Hepatitis, HIV etc...

i think it's to check for thalassemia .. y don't you ask gynae more in detail what's the 2nd check is all about?
I had my oscar weeks ago at TMC, doc call and asked to go for amnio test as i am in the high risk goup of getting down baby.

ya im goin to clinic later , but according to dr im low risk 1:2721 , so for this time blood test is for others thing ( like wat mini potato say ) wat annoying mw is what don doin it at a same time when v doin oscar test, ( no need to inject 2 times mah :we2Randy-git:)

im wt Dr chow at lucky plaza hubby want me to change gynea) but i like there bcos no need to wait ( think he biz not so gd ..:we2Randy-git:)

his package is 600 star from 12 week include vit n scan , i still not decided yet
don know how !!! cos if i change to other gynea im sure i hv to wait for long Q ..dilemma ....

how about u .. gd wt ur gynea ? how the package like ? n which hospital u tend to go ??

Dr say my blood report is normal ... Sometime I wonder did urs Gynea always give u advice about wat to eat or wat kind of vit u Shd take ?? Mind dr only gimme iron when I come to 2nd trimester , then I told him I can't take milk , then he gimme again calcium pill ( shd he ask me instead I told him ?? )
Then today I read a book say tat baby now need more Omaha 3 to develop .. But how come dr didn't told me ???
Si now shd I buy at pharmacy or ask my dr ???

My package is $800 excluding supplements. So far, I'm quite satisfied with my gynae thou waiting time might be long at times. :001_302:

I will be opting for Thomson.

My gynae only prescribe Folic Acid for 1st Tri & Multi Vitamins & Fish Oil capsules during 2nd Tri.

did ur gynea always give u advice or suggestion ? mine no le , even vit , i told him i need calcium cos i didnt like to drink milk then he gimme , he nv ask ..haiz feel not secire wt him . then again i read say tat 2nd trimester need omega 3 , i call to call him , he say IF u want to can come to buy ????
i think he is a dr he shd need wat i want rite ????
can share how u gynea ???

My doctor only prescribed multi vitamin for me, the moment I stepped into 2nd trimester. It didnt occur to me to ask for iron or omega pills.

Now reading at my pills bottle, it stated that each pill contains various of vitamins, folic acid, calcium and etc.. so I guess it is sufficient for me??? Anyway, I think I will ask her during my next visit.

I think end of the day all these pills are just supplement, baby still depends alot on ur daily foods intake... like if u dun like milk then go for tofu or beancurd etc... n I know there certain fishes provide omega.. but can't recall wat fish is that.

I just being a bit keisu ... Cos brain develop is very important , this is why it's need omega 3 ( according to book) :)
U r now how many week , I'm 14 week now , I feel strange in morning cos my tummy in the morning very flat , then come to afternoon will become bigger , sometime a bit worry ? Do u hv this happens to u ??

Hi i1babes,

In the mornings when I just wake up, my tummy also not very protruding, just a small bump. As the day progresses, it becomes bigger & much more rounded, I found it quite strange and worrying initially too, but everytime I go for my checkups, my baby is ok. Think the next time I will ask my gynae abt this. :tlaugh:
I read from other forums etc that there are other mummies also experiencing this, seems quite common. :wink:
