I'm a working mom with a beautiful 3YO son.

I'm abt to be single, and I hope to find some support here.

He's gonna use his lawyer but I wonder if I should also engage my own.

Please advice. Thanks

yes i know... but we're only abt to be seperated. I dun know what's he gonna do... but thus far... i think monetary wise.. he'll continue paying all the expenses. So i wunder if i should engage my own lawyer.

You should wait and listen to his terms first. If you are agreeable, then there's no need to hire your own lawyer. If you are not agreeable, then hire your own lawyer.

My friend did not need to pay a lawyer cos she was agreeable to his terms, so she saved the few thousand dollars

i am in the process of all these nonsenses too. he gt his lawyer and i don agree to his term. therefore i file the memo of attendences to court myself. now waiting for court ltr then seek legal aid.

agree with stanton.. no point hiring and wasting the money if u agrees to his terms. and even if u dont agree, talk to him first and see if he's willing to give in, if not then hire your own lawyer or seek advices from the legal aid if you're eligible.
