Hi Mummies,
I'm a stay home mom to an almost 6 month old baby. Just started him on homemade rice cereal a week ago and so far he's been taking it well. I'd like to know what's your baby's daily activity and schedule like.
My baby's schedule is:
8.30am - Wake up and play with Daddy before he leaves to work
9.30am - Breastfeed (Direct latch)
10.00am - Morning Nap for 30-45 minutes
11.00am - Wake up and have lunch (Rice cereal)
After his feed, I give him 10 minutes to settle down (is this too short? Is it wrong to bathe baby after eating?)
11.45am - Bathe
12.15pm - Afternoon Nap for 45 minutes
1.00pm - Wake up and play
2.00pm - Breastfeed (Direct latch)
3.30pm - Afternoon Nap for 30 minutes
4.00pm - Formula Milk (5 ounces)
6.00pm - Evening Nap for 30 minutes
7.00pm - Breastfeed (Direct Latch)
9.30pm - Breastfeed (Direct Latch) and prepare for bed
10.00pm - Sleep
He wakes up about 3 times for feeds (2.00am, 5.00am and 7.00am)
Do any of you find anything wrong with this schedule for my baby? Also I feel that my baby takes many catnaps during the day. I would like to train him to sleep longer in each nap but cut down to 2-3 naps in the day. This way, it gives me more time to finish my household chores. I don't have any domestic help so his naptimes are the only times I have to cook, wash, bathe, etc and his naps for only 30 minutes which is hardly enough for me to get any work done.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Also if any of you are stay home moms, please share with me on how you manage your time juggling your baby and housework and finding some time to rest in between all of these as well...coz this is taxing!!! :embarrassed:
Thank you.
