May I know when shld we start to apply stretch mark cream? I'm in my first trimester and I have been applying it alternate nits.

I also apply alt nightes in my 1st and 2nd trimester... now I am almost 33 weeks preggy, i only have stretch marks appear these few days,

actually it depends on ur tummy size, if it's big, then start apply everyday earlier (actually should apply 2 times daily).... my tummy size suddenly grow when i was in the 3rd trimester... my sister in law's stretchmarks also appears in the late 3rd timester....her tummy was also small small....

my first bot was palmer's. kinda like the cocoa smell but my tummy started to develop rashes after a few days. sigh. used topicrem (20 over dollars i think) - quite oily but i just let it dry by fan before i put on my clothes. someone gave me a bot of bodyshop body cream - not specifically for stretch marks - just moisturizer with vitamin e. also tried physiogel A1 cream ($40 per tube) and also a tube of stretch mark lotion bought from watson. forgotten the brand but its from france. ($50 +-) i just alternate between these few lotions and creams. applied 3-4 times a day on my tummy n thigh area.

not one stretchmark! :Dancing_wub:

the second qns after i asked my hubby after i woke up from GA. first qns was whether baby is ok!

my mom did not have any stretchmark. so dunno whether is genes or from the lotions. but my tummy have uneven skin tones after delivery..... and the ugly linea blah blah is still there........ still cant wear bikini........................................... :07:

I tried clarins tonic oil. It is really good. According to the consultant, the right way to apply is right after you shower, apply on damp skin, massage it in. After that, you use cold water to splash off. It's not oily and IMO, smells quite nice also. :)

I started using clarins stretchmark control cream when I was in my 4th/5th mths of pregnancy. Applied it every night on breast and area below belly button only. So far, am still using the same pack (200ml). Quite worth it.

I think it is effective. 31 weeks now, my tummy looks okay except for the belly button which popped out very unsightly. (mine is a baby girl)

Me too started on Clarins stretchmark ctrl cream ~ 5th mth pregnancy. Initially was using Palmer's Cocoa, which I dun really like its smell.

Almost into my 8mth pregnancy stage, no stretch marks! *Yay*

Maybe you should also try applying Clarins stretchmark ctrl cream on ur thigh areas as well, just in case, heh!

I think our EDD should be very close cos am going into 8mth too.

Clarins stretchmark cream is really good, same here, no stretch mark. Hopefully can maintain till after birth. I heard at later stage as the baby grow bigger and our skin stretch further, stretchmark will still appear. quite concern abt this.

Thanks, will apply on thigh areas starting tonight.

hi bb2010,

you can try Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil but a tad expensive. or Body shop's Cocoa butter or Palmer's Shea/Cocoa Butter. I've only used Clarins as i can't stand the smell of cocoa butter and no stretchmarks so far but i know some will argue it's in the genes..but erm...my mom has stretchmarks everywhere? so who knows, the cream might help? take care!
