Block nose/flu

I sometimes drop on the bedsheet nearby, but not on pillow or clothes. Or I'll hang a hanky nearby. But I still prefer the hotwater method because as the steam rises, the oil get dispurse really quickly.

Also, if you ever turn on the aircon (whether block nose or not), put a cup of water in the room. It helps to moist the aircon air so that it's not too drying. Your skin will not feel dry also.

For me, I put a big pack of bamboo charcoal as it can help to absorb electromagnetic rays from electrial appliances in your room eg. aircon, radio, tv, pc, handphone. It also balance the air moisture level.

BTW: Do not use the nose drop for more than 5 days!
I nv use the nose drop liao...simply useless n btw why the oil dun drop on pillow or clothes leh?

Don't despair. You may like to try mine: Normal Saline. This product is used as eye drop for adult whereas can be used for infant's nose drop. Alot of GPs & PDs recommend this.

Here's the merits:

- not a medical product hence you can use this as many times as you like.
- cheap (around $2 @ Guardian)
- prevent infant's flu & on-off prevent/ dissolve throat phlegm too.

Until today I am still using this for my boy daily. Everyday after bath I'll apply into his nostril & pretend to cough badly in front of him so that he will get used to this. Thumbs up!!!

ohh.. juz my habit la.. i dun want his pillow to smell of the oil mah. I prefer his "original smelly pillow"! Hehe.. As for clothes, I dun because in case of skin sensitivity.

my frd suggest apply on hanky n hang near him like tt he can smell it which will help his block nose, is tis method gd?
i never try this method before. i usually rub a little on her back which i find it helps to clear off her stuffy nose but it does not cure. i see instructions do not place in nostrils or mouth so i never apply near nose area also or let her smell. my sister did mention baby too young cannot use vicks so i only use it on safe areas.
my dd had stuffy nose very often when she was around 2mth old. only quite recently we went bring her go see pd at tmc she say my dd stuffy nose is allergy.

eh....sound kinda complicated to me sia :001_302:
U mean I wrote very "deep"? Don't get it isn't it???

The normal saline is like those eye drop sized bottled. Just squeeze it into the nostril will do everyday, be it 1 time etc. Get the picture? Otherwise for the first time, you can go to any GP clinic & buy from them. Anyway this is a very cheap remedy.

Maybe you can bring him to Singapore Baby and Child Clinic @ AMK to see the cough specialist. My boy was coughing so badly with mucus coming out so i went thru forum to search for help. Got a recommendation to see DR. VELLA @ SBCC. He is a cough specialist. My boy was given antibiotics and some cough mixture.. he recovered soon after. But it's kind of expensive.. cost me $105.00

Loves, your baby is indeed to young for any meds. How is he feeling now?

What I did when my son was too young for any meds is I gave him Bao Yin Dan from Eu Yan Sang. Juz a little bit added to his milk.
