went to superstar virgo. very nice. lunch at chinese restaurant, dinner at the western cuisine restaurant like a ballroom with piano performance very romantic experience. drink & relax at the back of the ship open concept u can feel the sea breeze. casino but lost some money over there. playing bingo at one the lounge. jaccuzzi by the poolside. was given a cake on birthday too. also stop by at 2 land locations for shopping.

leisure world i think now more for gambling. went there once. when on board, change $500 to chips got a free room for the night to rest.

I brought my mother to cruise on the Superstar Virgo once every year, since 1999. So total 8 times already.

We still like it very much. Nothing much to do except eating and gambling, but we really prefer this to the mad rushing of tour groups. My mother don't even like to take airplane to anywhere now, she only likes the cruise.

I prefer the Redang cruise, cheapest and most relaxing, and Redang has a nice beach.

Cruising is very different from flying.

You fly on a plane just to get to another destination.

But you don't cruise just to get to another destination. You cruise to enjoy the journey on the cruise ship. The cruise ship itself is the destination. You simply relax and enjoy on the ship, admire the wonderful seaview, eat all the food you want, and fall asleep in a comfortable bed. On huge cruise ships like Superstar Virgo, there are so many activities to keep you occupied, you will not feel bored. In fact, these cruise ships are like little islands that can move !

Flying is so hectic and tiring, it cannot be compared to cruising. Imagine being cramped into a tiny space for so many hours. Then when you reach the destination, still need to drag your luggage through customs, find a taxi to get to your hotel.

On a cruise ship, you can visit a few countries without even moving your luggage.

To me, travelling is for relaxing. It's not about rushing to as many places as you can.

Have never been on one b4. Have always wanted to try, but DH always find cruises expensive, rather take the money and go resorts.

Went on a cruise in June with my family, including a 6 mth old baby. Was our first time on a cruise and my 2 elder children were very excited, big ship mah! Yes, it can be quite bored if the cruise is too many days but it was relaxing.
Because we went during the school holidays, it was kind of expensive. Go during non-school holidays if you can, save you alot of $$, can use that to buy diapers or milk powder for your little ones!

look out the newspapers or call the travel agent. And my suggestion - get the cabin with window, at least, get to see sunlight. If i have the latest price, will update you, may pass by a travel agent later today.:tkaboom:
