Really cant stand confinement!! Food is so heaty... Constipation is forever the prob I have been on stool softener for the pass 11 days. The red dates tea is not helping.. Very heaty I sweat alot too haiz.. Now I need is water to continue Breastfeeding. Haiz, why must we believe in myth jus becos is a " hear who say" than I must do depressed.

i can stool on the 7days, coz i secertly drink hot plain water..MIL say must drink long gan water, i drank both, coz i know its very heaty and got no choice..then MIL say, i think can drink plain water, coz hospital also offer you hot water confinement sweat is no joke..my sweat need to use handki then can wipe off..Thank God MIL prepare herbs water for me to bathe, at least i still can bathe..can understand your stress..Staying in MIL is no joke..if your MIL is those dominating type.. Stay positive k..BB need you

u're right gers.. is no joke. I felt like a "qian gu sui ren" being blame by many. I shower, all the relatives who visit me will "see" me like thou i commit a crime. caught at crime scene! I am really so tired of all these look and say... no need to stool also nvm. Most impt is body warm... I am already VERY HOT not jus warm!! Anyway... my cute bb... hahaha give trouble at night. Night MIL take care, this bb of mine.. look for breast and refuse pacifier... she so angry. Wanna ban me from breast feeding. Spoken to me abt it, but i tell her if i stop now no more milk, then how? Full formula fed... meh? Hahah my own mum visit me saying bb must interacted since he's so active. But diff sch of thot, mil say sleep and drink is the best, but poor bb how become dumb meh?

Ai yo, breastfeeding your b will be stronger and healthy..you MIL read mag anot?? my MIL is reading child's mag now..so she had the knowledge of some infant care..dare not say i no milk already..

She dun read mag.. She is very traditional. asking why breastmilk looks like water.. That's why Bb not full. That's why Bb use my nipples as dummy. Haiz... Long story..

Thanks gers now feel more assure I am able to take Dom I will take tonight if not she complains again.

My confinement nanny say must after 12 days delivery then can take. But I prefer to tk only after my gal jaundice is completely clear.. N guess what… today marks the 12th day and I tasted DOM in my soup at dinner. Faints! No choice, hv to finish up.

I share e same fate. I also get to bathe everyday with herbal water but my mil say cannot wash hair. Contradictory, my confinement nanny say can wash hair after 12 days but only once then till baby full month then can wash again. Then my mil becomes very irritated.. Like I have committed a crime by washing hair. Really cannot stand,. Oily n itchy scalp how to tolerate 1 month. Since I got the green light, just wash lo. Then from before shower to after shower I get the cold treatment from mil. Sighz!

I already in stool softner for 19 days. Cause doc scared later hurt e wound if the stool is hard.
I also heaty every day 'ma you', ginger, 'jiu' in my food n all e 'bu' soup...
Sweating a lot too n onli bath once a day.

My stitches healing well le. Now can sit chair liaos...u natural birth mar?

Haiz my baby boy gt fever den admit hospital today.So heart pain see they take his blood n put drip on him.

Huh can take stool softener for so long? I read on the bottle that it's not advisable for prolong use. Anyway, I stool on e 2nd day after delivery when I'm still warded. Keep drinking hot plain water so I can pass my first motion in hospital. If stitches came off or anything happens at least I'm still in hospital, can get treated right away. Haha. Thereafter I stool once every 2-3 days. But I nv take plain water or stool softener Liao. Just take lot of longan red date tea. Just be relax and go with nature's call is the key. For my no.1, I also scared and restrain from going to poo, end up I got harmorrids.

hugs ladies dont sian.. at first my mum was skeptical abt breastfeeding cos i didnt have enough la, keep wanting me to feed fm.. i was very stressed too.. then my mum heartpain i so stressed also la..

but i very determined and then fed my bb w fm whilst i boost supply, end up bb growing chubbier all the hard work paid off.. but i was getting used to feeding formula so i keep being tempted to feed fm.. then bb constipated!!! now even more determined to bf her lol

You are right.. We should start taking supplements after child bearing. Think it will compensate on the old wife myth. I so envy of u, can shower n wash hair everyday. I will bargain with confinement nanny to wash hair again 1 week later preferably when my mil is out. Haha.
Will your mil be taking care of ur baby after ur confinement/maternity leave? I also thought can go gym to work out and regain my shape after my no1, but it's hard for me to find the time to do so cos I'm bf-ing. Now with no1 & no2, I think the only way that I can lose weight is through taking care of them and tire myself out.

Ha ha Purpeace.. Shower and dun get caught. U stay with mil? Sometimes I am bad lar, but no choice.. I took yogurt drink today becos of constipation. Of cos when she away, dr say yougurt is good for bb too! Ha ha so I like army days, can do but dun get caught I blow dry my hair. Gym and work out yar..Is my first so still ok. Maybe once a week when I feeling better. Anyway night is always my resting time.. I think my boy loves me ha ha after 2 noon with me my mil feels the different. But no choice she like to prove she can take care better, so ha ha she wun pass me back but again good thing I have her if not dun kno how many sleepless night.

Anyway yar me natural birth I can walk but is the pressure I feel as thou the womb drop out! Already 12 days.. Stitch is ok dr say seal already but just my womb and constipation other than that I am ok.

You steady, can shower n wash hair without getting caught. But thought ur mil looking after ur baby? How can she miss it? Do u bathe with herbal water or just hot tap water? Ya I'm staying with my mil now so no way to escape n cheat. Am counting down to my confinement days... 18 days more to go. Yeah!

Hmm, think u prob walk too much. Try to lie down n rest more. The last time I also experience some sharp pain even after 2 weeks. This time I just rest whenever I can. So far still ok.

By the way, any of u do Jamu massage after delivery? I'm starting this Thu, 2 weeks after delivery.. Afraid the result wun be as good. But anyway, my muscles are tired n aching, even if slimming no result at least I still get some kneading done.

Only 1cm dilated ....

Hopefully baby will come out naturally by himself else hv to go for c-section on 1st Sept.

Yup I stay with mil, she dun mind me showering. Sometimes evening she will go out so I will take a shower lor faster wash hair and blow dry before she is home. She normally put for 2-3 hrs at least.
I got jamu massage since day 4 after delivery. Now I am left with 3 session, I took a 7 days package, dun really feel comfortable with the binder. Feels very tight for me, putting pressure on the wound again so I may not continue till 10 sessions
As for my wound.. Guess u r right I walk and sit too much when lie down or after a night sleep all is ok. Still expressing milk so had to walk up and dwn kitchen to get my stuff. Haiz me too counting down 17 days to go !

Hi all,

Thank you for all the "congrats"! My baby girl is now a week old and settling well. Her face is still shows bit of mild yellowish patches but the eyes ball still remains white though. She is on 50/50 breast milk and Enfalac and been drinking up to 40mil.

Today suppose to return back to visit the paedatrician at TMC but I have postponed it. Do you mummies know what is the purpose of this visit? Is this just a follow-up check up after discharge particularly to check on the jaundice condition of my baby?

My confinement lady is doing a good job so far!

Ya lo last wed visit gynae. Den i gt infection there mar haven decover. Got bad tear during delivery... So on stoll softener lo... Gynae say wan my stool to be soft so wont hurt e wound.
Ya every day drink longan red date tea lo. My husband everyday drink those coke,green tea. Wah liew temping to drink too....

I wash hair after 14days n bath everyday with e herbal thing.
How nt to bath so nt 'wei shen' esp when gt bf e baby...
Wah nt wash hair for 14 days was like hell. E hair like gt put coconut oil like tat n itch lo...

Ask hor confinement is 30 or 40 days???

Is a check to see Bb drinking well, poo and pee well. And check jaundice level as well just went twice last week. First time test Bb fail on jaundice, 2nd time was retested and he's ok. Just note the poo times and color, it will come out from poo.
