Oh no! I have lost track of all the conversations! Mreow mreow, is it really necessary to wash the baby clothes with baby detergent? I washed everything using our normal detergent already! Eeekss!

Hehe, the antenatal instructor mentioned that baby detergent is slightly better cuz it contains Less stronger Cleaning agents..
Will be better for baby's skin..
Some babies' have sensitive skin so baby detergent is better..

Hmm, maybe u can just soak and rinse ur baby clothes again with only water?
To remove traces of adult detergent?
should be ok after that..
Cuz sometimes even after washing our own clothes, there might be remnants of detergent on certain parts of the clothes...

But u do plan to buy baby detergent for future use after ur baby is out right?

Morning mummies! I'm still a lil sleepy cuz hubby reached hm at 3plus cuz of massive jam at causeway. Haizzz anyways ltr gonna go be wif my princess again n spend d day there. Hehehe

yeah I'm a little worried abt dat too. Tdy gonna ask d nurse when I can try to latch her on me. I noe they will allow to try so baby will be familiar wif mummy's smell n skin. hahaha I will not give up n will do whatever it takes to latch her on even if its gonna difficult. Juz hope I'll get support from hubby n my mom once baby Nurin is hm.
As for ctg yeah everybody will have to go thru it d further u get into ur pregnancy or if u have a high risk pregnancy like I did. When u get to ur 37th or 38th week I think doc will ask u go for ctg n also will probably check ur cervix for dilation. Dat shld be soon for u rite babe? so be prepared ya.

I still wonder why they wld wanna rush u out when a pregnancy shld be checked thoroughly too. Dats not professional. How much do u pay for every consultation? Is there an antenatal package at KKH? For NUH there is an antenatal package offered to mummies under subsidy for $400 which consists of all consultations until deliver, 2 ultrasound scans, one ctg scan n one postnatal check up. Doesn't include other ultrasound scans, blood tests, etc.

I washed all te clothes thats why i split into three times! haha... i didnt buy alot cos i have hand-me-downs but not all are new born. Actually i cannot really differentiate newborn and 3-6 months.. some look similar. When i sort, i try to sort according to their sizes.

I bought kodomo for laundry and dishwashing. baby bath not yet bought...maybe will buy johnson.

I had to wash in 4 batches but will prob get the kodomo washin detergent for future use. Saw a promotion at NTUC yesterday u can check it out! I saw merries new born pampers selling for 17.95 as well if I'm not wrong. Have u decided on the brand of diapers and milk?

Oh read somewhere someone is looking for bath tub and stand, I saw it at kiddy palace in toa payoh, so u can check it out but I didn't get it think its quite ex though really convenient.

Oh cot bedding I has hand me downs but saw them selling at kiddy palace too. Haiz everything is ex even the bed sheet costs 20.90! But convenient to buy all from the same place! Jus my 2 cents worth to share!

I just come back from my check up...
good news and bad news... I losing weight as compared to my last checkup... But surprisingly, my little girl gain another 0.7kg since two wks ago, increase from 2kg (wk34) to 2.7kg (wk 36)!!!! Next appointment will be two weeks later....
Knowing little girl is healthy and well growing is kind of encouragement and relief....

Liza, ur girl definitely recognize your voice when u holding her, talking and kissing her.... She miss you a lot!!
glad that u can start massage and get ready to welcome ur little princess to be home!! Then u can have full concentrate on her by then! Hee...

Hi Sze Sze! Glad to hear that your baby has put on so much weight! My baby gal was weighing at 2.5kg (wk 36) on 4 days ago & next visit also on 2 weeks later My gynae was kidding saying that the next time we will either meet at the clinic or in the labour ward ady. hehe..

Anyway, I forgot which mummy asked me about where to get the Bamboo abdominal binder, currently there's promotion for this binder at Parenthood Expo selling at $78 only (UP $98).

Liza, thanks for the info on the ctg screening... Hopefully my little girl can cooperate this time... My last experience for Oscar scan, I was in and out for 5 times before the doc can get all the measurement done!!! Heehee....

I bought kodomo detergent for laundry, pigeon liquid to wash bottles, accessories and vege, j&j head-to-toe...
so far I wash all the clothes that I think is suitable for 0-6 months... Just in case bb grows faster...

For diaper, I bought dryper which can last for about 3 weeks, because I wont be using any cloth diaper during my confinement, basically I cannot touch much on water and I not going to asking my mil who take care of my confinement to worry about the washing cloth diaper....
Also got some sample for petpet and merries... Later on then see if bb ok with any brand...

Hi mummies. Anyone of u experiencing pain bottom pelvic bone area but no contraction? My gynae said normal and pain will be gone once after give birth <- jokingly said by him. T_T. I guess I have to stay at home n not going shopping or anywhere now. Gynae said possibility of earlier birth than my original EDD since baby head is 30% down (dunno what he means by that) I packed my bags, stem cell collection kit, put all near front door so can just grab n go if contraction starts at interval of 10 mins. Hmm what else?
should i bathe in hospital before go labour room or bathe at home before going hospital while still counting contractions ?

Cherry Blossom: I also wash my baby's clothes 3 schedules hahha most are passed down, and size range from newborn to 6mths
Ask u ah... How many pieces of maternity pads do u intend to bring to hospital? Are u bringing breast pumps there?

Liza, paying roughly $30 to $40 plus per consultation, not including other tests of course ! Feel like I'm nearing my due date, my hubby never seem to be serious whenever I feel like I'm having contractions . Hmph .
Btw, good luck on latching ! I'm sure she's a smart girl .. She knows her mummy well !

Beenies, goodness yes . All cot beddings are so ex man ! Think I'll just head over to ikea, I heard they sell for ard 19.90 .

Lovepixie, for my first child, I had contractions since about 4am, didn't know til I complained to mum at 6plus am .. I didn't even count my contractions, I was feeling so cramped . I swear I don't remember if I showered, I think I did at home, cause when u reached there they will usher u straight into the labour ward and ask u to pee, change and lie down .
One word of advice tho, do not lift ur hips up no matter how painful or how ur body wants to do it so much, refrain !! I did it and man .. Such agony afterwards .. The healing time is longer too . It's better to let them cut abit of flesh then let ourselves tear it open !

I think I'm experiencing some discomfort but not contraction. It's just severe cramping n cannot move the joint between pelvic bone n leg n in between. Want to sleep also hard today sweating like he'll although hubby feel temperature is a bit cooling. Mood also upside down. Felt pissed at a lady who rushed into the disabled toilet although I told her I'm next as I'm sitting waiting for the previous patron to finish her business. Since I'm slow in getting up due to cramping the lady said she wanna go first to change clothes n will be fast. What the??...

U should bath at home dear!
The hospitals will advise u to shower at home..
Take a quick shower!

worried!!!Baby weigh only 2kg at 35 weeks

Very very sad.....went for my check up and my princess only weigh 2kg.
So smallGynea says don't worry as baby is getting enough nutrients so nothing to worry about.

Prettygem, don't worry, u should trust your doctor ! Different babies grow differently, as for myself people ard me keep saying how small my tummy looks, it worries me but doctor say baby is okay ! No matter whether u eat alot or little, ur baby will take in what baby needs, even if it leaves u with no nutrients at all .
