hey congrats to all mummies who had just given birth.. realy must rest well.
i'm 3 weeks into my confinement but my backache still there.. think it's due to bending when carrying baby + the epidural effect. =(

Yup i agree... i also have bad backache & also side effect of the epi... cause i did not rest well when confinment time... haiz....:embarrassed:

Hi mummies, is anyone doing confinement with a confinement nanny...?? I'm having one right now, I must say I really appreciate having her around. She's quite good and takes care of most stuff.... bathing baby, cooking, cleaning, and boiling all types of herbs which are supposed to be gd for me...

But the downside is I cannot bathe!! Cannot tahan oredi.... Driving me crazy...!!...help!!
Anyone follow the 1 month no bathing rule?? 11:

I'm had successfully delivered my bb boy on the 14/03/10. Right nw, I so tired with all the new responsibilites and had been crying alot since. Glad that I'm not facing the issues alone. Will hang on there! keep in touch again...got to attend to bb nw....

I do bathe & wash my hair but I do it very speedy and dried myself well wif the help of my hubby.

Lingerbell, don't worry just rest well when u can (a reminder to myself).

I showered Twice everyday although by right not supposed to. By nght time I alrdy cannot bear w d stickiness. Also nd to cleanse d breasts constantly due to breastfeedg.

i don't have a confinement nanny but i think it's really good to have one to help out! i'm doing most of the things myself other than cooking which mother in law does.
i wash my hair once every 2-3 days though. cannot stand it. will die if totally dont shower. but i do it early in the mornign at 6am when mother in law is sleeping cause she dont let me shower! haha

also, if you really don't shower cause of restrictions, do wipe your body regularly especially the breasts, important for breastfeeding so that wont get infection

I agreed with both of you, nwadays weather so hot and with the gingerly confinement foods...sweat like mad...dun bathe cannot tahan and smelly too

Hi all! I finally gave birth on 19 March 2010. Almost gave birth in the car!

Now I'm just doing things on my own. No confiment nanny, told mum not to come as I want to try things out on my own as this is my 2nd one. So far everything seems fine. Actually I kinda cheated on my confinement...hehe...went shopping for stuffs on the 4th day after I gave birth. I shower anytime I want.

But at the back of my mind I do think whether I might regret it later when I'm old. hehe...but cannot help it lah...

I'm feelin so blues and my emotions are racing high & low...Even though I had help from my hubby, sometimes I felt so miserable as I'm incapable of doing a lots of things by myself wish I can do better......

hey my Edd was 9/3 hehe. which hospital were you @?
I dont't have engorgement prob now,in fact supply dip drastically.
usually when baby had enough,they look contented. try teasing their mouth if not moving n opening,means they're full already.

I was at tmc.. How abt u? For your backache problem, I guess is better for u to lie down more.. Cause my first pregnancy I did not have enough rest, my back pain was so serious that I can't get up... But this pregnancy I tried to lie down as often as I can n the back prob was much better. Though it still hurts at times...

I was supposed to deliver on the 19th heehe.
I also "cheated", stayed home only on first week. my mother made me feel guilty when she said "don't say I didn't tell you".

Canisque, I think most, if not all, will not let you shower everyday. Perhaps one who allows you to shower twice a week would already be fanastic! Hee...
My confinement nanny just prepare the herbal water for me to wipe myself with everyday. Wont be clean thoroughly but i guess i'll just have to make do with it....

this is my 2nd one so i guess confidence is there. For my 1st child, i had to have help. It's normal to feel down. My hubby always tell me, "Take care of yourself first, only then you can take care of the little one."

I guess that's what keeps me going. Furthermore, hubby took one week leave this week to assist me. Next week I'll be on my own. I might sing a different tune

Thanks angelwendy for the comforting words Too stressed up with so many things, trying to take things easy nw & not think too much...hope for a beta day everyday:wong29: Hubby also keep encouraging & told me to be strong and I'm trying.... Currently, my aunt comes on wkdays to cook for me. For caring of bb and cooking for wkends wil be solely myself & hubby.
