taboo, that sounds like a really good idea... forgot that baby has to get used to the new environment also. for me my workplace won't allow me to split up my leave... have to take all four months at one shot. will probably spend more time at my mother's place with the baby about a month before going back to work... lucky I can work from home some afternoons and leave early to pick bb up.

I'm also v excited about detailed scan next Tues!! can't wait to confirm bb gender and make sure everything is okay!

Think of sending my girl at 3mths for her to adapt. So I can spend more time with my elder boy before I return to work. Haha

1st time sending to infant care too as my boy is being look after by nanny till he is 18mths before entering to cc.

yeap yeap, recommended to sleep more on the left..but we cant sleep on one side too long..so hv to flip and change position.

i read that we should sleep on the left side so that we wouldn't obstruct the blood flow to the baby..

yah, doc also told me to sleep on my left so that BB gets more blood. which is good, cause that's the usual side I sleep on :)

as for backache I don't usually have it. but i realise if I lie in the sofa or no bed when I get up, the back will be a bit painful. If i'm seating or walking etc... then there's no pain.

I always sleep on my left too.. but do you all feel the bb weight is on your left as well... I feel its v much whenever I turn to left or right, the bb is shifting to that side..

Definitely having backache... But I think the pregnancy pillow helps me. Now that I have a tummy I prefer to sleep on my back tho I know it's not the best but it feels more comfortable. Even tho usually I sleep on my left! I have to prop my knees up with pillow tho, and I get leg cramps often at night now

I still sleep on back and find that my tummy is back to sort of flat in the morning! Maybe my baby falls further in due to my sleeping position hehe. So far no backaches, but definitely more round ligament pain especially if I've been sitting at the desk for too long.
