Dear All,

My legs and foot had been upgraded from Pig's Legs to Elephant's.
Can anyone advice me what to do to smooth the swollen and tightness.
I ahd my diabete checked and it showed negative.
Currently I am 33 plus weeks pregnant.
I have been drinking alot of water and goes to the toilet with little outcome.
I have notice if i seldom drink water, it will swell even worst.

Normally during 3rd trimester, you will have water retention, my legs tht time oso swollen....then I realise that if I cut back on some salty stuff, my legs not so swollen and drink more water

Have you gotten your blood pressure checked?

Yes, reduce salt intake and try to prop your legs up when you're seated.

I had home cook food always, but it seems like its the same.
Sometimes home cooked food, we thot is ok, but we do not know if it is high in salt content too....like if you put soya sauce or oyster sauce in frying ur veges or putting ikan billis in soups, fishballs & some tofu also high in salt content

Mayb u try to eat soupy stuff, but don't drink the soup, like fish soup

And mayb you also should let ur gynae know abt ur condition, could be like what diymummy said, to check your blood pressure..........

Congratulations on the arrival of your baby boy.

I also had pre-eclampsia and my son was born at 36 weeks.

Do take good care of yourself.

Amy,

Congrats on the arrival of your angel.

Did he have to stay in the hospital at all ?, or was he discharged with you?

That's great that he's doing well!

My twins were born at 29.5 weeks, and stayed in the NICU for 7 weeks..but now are healthy, strong 3 year olds!

Take care, and keep expressing milk- or breastfeeding if you can. It's so good for them!

I am currently 32 weeks ...with twins again, and am showing signs of pre-eclampsia also. So everyday that goes past is a blessing .

Sending you positive thoughts.
