some prefer immediate (all come together....tough one time one shot) some prefer to wait till no.1 is independent enuff...minimum looking after required....like my boy now....depends on yourself.

That day news say at least 12 mths after give birth then conceive then body got time to recover.

My fren sis gv birth 2nd child 1 year later, bb got some skin problem.

My young bro and I exactly one yr apart, his health also not so gd.

Anyone with kids one year apart, any problem?

I personally think there are 2 very real factors which could influence a "deviation in your plans" ... which means there is no "best time to conceive #2":

1) Besides the fact that you should really let your body recuperate properly (as mentioned in the last posting), your plans to conceive immediately will go down the drain if your menstrual cycle does not restart.
For the record, my wife's "factory" only resumed operations 6 months after ... when she stopped breast-feeding.

2) It also depends on how much fun you get from attending to your baby ... if by nature, your baby is a very demanding one, I'm sure you'd be deferring your original plans subconciously or unconciously.
Take us for example, my older boy was such a gem who rarely cry or throw tantrums in his first 6 months ... that's why we ended up surprising everyone with my younger boy, at an interval of 19 months apart.
In contrast, if my older boy were to have the fiery temper of my younger boy ... then, I think we'd still be having only 1 child now.
