My son is in the infant care, and one of his fren there has lazy eyes....what the parent did was make a patch and every morning, ask the teacher to put a patch on one eye for I think one or two hours then change to the other eye.....

hi all,

does lazy eye (detected in a 4yrs old child) mean have to wear specs forever?

My bro has lazy eye when he was in primary school (discover during the routine check up by the school) then he was advise to wear specs... but funny enough, after making the specs, he dun like to wear but somehow his lazy eye got better and need not use the specs anymore...

While my cousin also have lazy eye, school refer her to the specialist at the eye center and she has to go through some test and do simple eye exercise at home. She was also told to cover 1 of the eye for a few hrs a day to "train" the eye... now she is ok already... need no go back for review...

i think its best to see a specialist abt it, most case should recover...
