I am going to buy a microwave oven . Can anyone suggest me which brand of microwave oven is good?
From where have you bought your ones?

Thanks Leey... Panasonic seems to be a bit expensive.... I have a microwave oven( Sharp) with out baking facility. Do you know any other brand?

You may wanto consider those that comes with those smart technology built-in micro-oven. Panasonic did have a good brand of micro-oven that has steam function also. can use it like a steamer or even do steam cake.....

I saw one at best denki at takashimaya the other day i tink maybe older model of the steam oven type cost abt $700+......is that your budget?
You wanto buy it just for reheating purposes or even for baking?
Nowadays even micro oven can bake cake like an oven u know?

Thanks Jaymumys for your infomation. My budget is $500. But If I can get additional features, I do not mind paying a liitle more rather than buying another appliance seperately.

an oven, oso known as convection oven, cooks based on real heat from a heated grille....we always need to preheat the oven so that the heat will be evenly spreaded out when we bake cakes and grills.

a microwave oven cooks based on radiomagnetic waves....meaning the 'heat' will not be present (its hot but u dun see smoke) coz its like radio waves....

but as far as i know microwave ovens are only used mostly for reheating.....or thawing.

but nowadays there are electric ovens selling in the market, meaning a combination of convection oven and microwave together.
