NB having difficulty shitting

Anybody have any remedy for NB who having difficulty shitting as his stool is hard n he got trouble pushing it out.

He cry so loud everytime he try to shit....so poor thing.

Can i feed him with anything that will help him to shit smoothly?

Are his stools really hard? Or does he look like he's having difficulty but stools are still soft? Coz NBs usually look like they're having difficulty shitting but poo is actually soft. If this is the case, it's normal, PD says they're just getting used to the process of shitting so they have that look. They aren't really constipated.

Not really very hard lah, but i think this morning his poo improve, back to normal. So shall observe again. Thanks!

is ur baby taking formula milk? if yes, pls ensure u give water also. formula milk may be the cause of constipation. breastfed babies usually dun hv this prob cos breastmilk got alot of water content

yeah i did give him abit of water cause scared tat FM is too heaty.

Did u use the diaper to press the stool to make sure it is really hard? Coz sumtimes stools appear to b hard but actually is quite soft~ As long as ur NB can poo at least everyday once then he/she isnt having constipation so u dun really haf to worry so much. It is when ur NB dun poo at all then u should really worry abt it.
