Can anyone advise me what r the procedures that I need to take in order to take action against gynae negligence?

Currently awaiting for the results fm the lab on my placenta which has dried up inside my body during my 19 wks pregnancy preventing nutrients fm reaching my baby, causing me to go into pre-mature labour, went through bad contractions, eight jabs, suffering 3days in hospital and delivering an abnormal foetus which can't survive.

Several check-ups, ultrasound and complains of stomach cramp, bloating of my stomach gas does not trigger any alarm to the gynae previously that I've serious infection and placenta drying up and starting to decompose. instead I was advised to switch to milk instead of non sugar soyabean, which in the first case I was lactose intolerance and insulin resistance.

When I started bleeding, immediately I rushed dwn to see my gynae. when my gynae turned up, a caucasian couple went in first instead of me.
Finally when I met my gynae, his suggestion was to go for an operation within the next 1 hour to stitch bck my cervix which my baby is dropping out.
Not wanting to take the risk again, approached another specialist gynae for high risk preganancy and immediately the prob of infection and placenta dried up was detected thr ultrasound and was warded immed trying to save my life and my baby but it was too late.

I need advice on whether should I be approaching the relevant hospital person-in-charge of the gynae, MOH or medical council?

i think u may wanna consider writing to the medical council and at the same time look around for lawyers that are experienced in handling medical cases.
it's not going to b easy as u will need to seek for another professional advice and the dr would have to agree to testify in court that what done is not right in the professional ethics. The lawyer would have to submit an order to get copy of your medical records.

I am sorry to hear that, hope you are recovering well now.... Btw where did you see this gynaecologist? yes, I think you should write to MOH telling them the bad experience you have gone through and seek their advice.

Thanks for everybody's encouragement.
Unfortunately, the negligence gynae is from Thomson Medical and I've been a long term patient for at least 7 yrs. I do not want to disclose the name yet until the lab results is release to cfm his negligence.

Eventually my main objective is not to bring him to court but I just want to do a close down affair to seek for my medical compensation and future treatments that I probably have to go thr with the other specialist gynae at camden medical who saved me and this gynae performed an operation last year on me which eventually make me conceive naturally after 10 years of trying to get pregnant.
If not for her expensive professional medical charges, I wouldn't have gone bck to Thomson medical to look for this gynae to assist me in my 1st pregnancy.

this is so unprofessional. You should approach the medical council with the lab results/rather evidence. Should not let another such incidence happen again.

Best wishes!!!

I think you did the right thing to air this in forum cos everyone needs to know such unfortunate incident. Some gynaes are simply unethical!!

My advice is to seek second opinion on your case, meaning is it hard to detect placenta drying up etc.. (can go KKH cos private gynae will tend to help private gynae) Then once you got the second opinion, go to medical council and lodged a complain.

One thing we are not medical experts so it's hard for us to fight a medical case with private gynaes...but if you have second opinion, at least you know roughly what is happening.

I wish you the best and I support you that these gynaes need to wake up or change job if they are not UP to it!:001_302:
