I understand that TMC will provide the following for your newborn baby:
•baby vests•disposable diapers•toiletries•a baby bag•wrapping blanket•a pair of mittens

how about Gleneagle, Mount Alvernia , Raffles and Mount E? what do they provide ?

I delivered my baby at mt alvernia and they gave us a bath tub along with other small items such as small hampers (samples: shampoo, moisturizer, powder, nanppy rash cream, stretch mark cream, etc), swaddler, t-shirt.... think that's about all.

btw, my friend gave me a TMC haversack which i think its very useful. it's the brown one. it keeps all my baby stuff neat and tidy. :D

anw TMC gives out a diaper bag with cord spirit to clean ur bb's cord, nappy cream, the left over diaper ur bb used, a bottle of sanitiser...

GlenE dun provide anything. Even bb's clothes, u hv to bring your own to change in. They only loan the baby shirt during stay. If u want your bb to wear mittens/booties/socks during the stay, u hv to bring your own too.

The small gift is referring to the bag of love or something liddat?

Ya, the baby shirt is on loan. The nurse will make sure u return the shirt when bb n u are discharged, lol.

I am not too sure abt Mt A, but in Glen E, u need to bring ur own clothes for bb to go home in.

Definately no bath tub for TMC... I delivered there in 2008 & 2010.
They will have a new top, mittens & swaddle for bb to wear home. Besides tt, the left over diapers, diaper cream, wet wipes & hand sanitizer will be given... This is actually charged to ur hospital bill already. Other stuff would be samples given by sponsors & a TMC bb bag.

TMC encourages breastfeeding for bb, they have a short class which u can attend during ur stay... Or if u have any queries or need help with breastfeeding you can just ask any of the nurses. After being discharged they will give u a call about 2 weeks later to see how bb & you are doing or if u have any questions about breastfeeding.

I think this depends on luck too. My 1st delivery at GlenE, I had 1 extremely unsympathetic nurse. For my 2nd delivery there, I was more or less left on my own to bf cos they thought i was experienced (lol! I only bf my elder kid for 1 mth), but I was lucky to get the help of 1 very experienced staff nurse.

TRUE!!! it depends on individual's expectation too. some pin too high hope, set too high expectation, thus they feel tt the expectation is not up to standard. :tlaugh:

yr 2008, I delivered my son at mt alvernia and they gave us a bath tub along with 1 yellow baby bag contained samples of baby shampoo, moisturizer, powder, welcoming blanket.
during the stay they also provide the disposable diaper for mom and diaper for baby (pampers brand), toiletries for moms.

if not wrong, they have 1x free class for teach you how to bath baby, but i didnt take that class, as too pain after op, but The nurse can teach you how to BF the baby.

If you want your baby to wear mittens/booties/socks during the stay, you have to bring your own too.

1 thing that i loved during the stay, their confinement food very nice... hehehehe :001_302:
