What does Gleneagles provide? Avg bill of Gleneagles?

Hi mummies, daddies,

it's been years since I last delivered and my hospital bag is super full! hence wondering what they provide now so maybe I can bring less stuff...

also, what is the hospital bill before medisave deduction, excluding pae and gynae like? for 1 bedded or 2 bedded?

Hi hi,

in case u are wondering, here is what i got in the one bedder...
toiletries - shower gel, shampoo, hair brush, toothbrush and paste, towel.
a small fridge
a small locker
tv and dvd player

for baby, they gavea swaddle and baby romper.
on discharge, a nice cloth tote w travel set, baby sample diaper and brochures...

my bill for natural delivery with gas is $5k plus.
note that this is before medisave deductions and do not incl. ur pd and gynae charges. purely hospital chgs for items used, normal medications likepainkillers, ponstan, epi antiseptic spray only given during stay andon discharge. it is for 3 days 2 night stay and incl.nursery for baby.

n by the way which gynae did u take?coz im a first time mom n totally lost which gynae to take now but i somehow decided on gleneagles...:p

Hi icysheen, noy sure where my bill went... but rem. that it is about $5100-5300, excl. pd ward visits $800, gynae delivery fee aroynd $1500. Medisave deductiin is about $2100-2600 so nett payment is about $3500 for hospital bill as we had paid deposit of $2400 upon registering for admission.
as for hospital bill, i can only share w u that i stayed 3 day 2 night in 1 bedder, used only gas and some induction drip and took home panadol, ponstan, curacao antiseptic spray, baby usual nursery stay incl. huggies pampers and johnson bb wipes. So i wouldnt know how much epidural, anastetists costs etc or if u use more hospital supply...

maybe someone e,se can share? ;)

my gynae is dr tham but be prepared for avg 3 hrs waiting per visit!!! it is not uncommon to wait even longer... but i am comfortable w him and he is very experienced hence i stayed w him despite the super duper long wAit!

hi worthy lady thanks so much...hmm now im considering proceed with gleneagles or.....seems like almost all the gynaes there r super busy or fierce or .....im at a loss to even decide gynae now.im really going round n round :S

my spouse is delivering in april, and we havent decide natural or C-section. but i be going down to the hospital to compare the difference between 1 bedded and 2 bedded. shall keep u posted.

i delivered at glens in mar 2011.had LSCS, + 1 bedder + lodger + lab test + doctor fees = 8.7k. after medisave deduction of 3.9k ,need to fork out about 4.8k. costly,but i like the service provided by my gynae and the maternity ward nurses.

oh my gynae is dr lisa chin.very nice and friendly lady.i like her nurses too.alot of indos ladies fly here to consult her.

C-delivery - emergency (2 bed): $3721

all inclusive of 7% GST and for 2 night stay
excludes gynae, PD and aneasthetician fees

there are other suites as well, which are all start from $5k onwards

Gleneagles will provide romper for baby. I wonder if bath tub is included before I buy.

Got to bring ur own mittens and own baby clothes when discharge

There is a new born hamper. Consist of a receiving blanket and a romper, but cannot wear coz no wash and the size too big.

i'm currently seeing my gynae at women's specialist assosiate clinic, but he only delivers in GlenE, he's from O&G Partners. i'm thinking whether to stay with him or change gynae.

my gynae's antenatal charges is $918
includes:
1) consultation charges for all related clinic visits
2) screening ultrasound scan at week 22, and ultrasound scan for growth at 32 week
3) two CTG monitoring
4) one post-natal clinic visit

excludes:
1) consultation charges from clinic visit not related to pregnancy
2) all Lab investigations such as Blood/Urine & stool test etc
3) additional CTG monitoring & procedures such as Priming or cervic etc
4) All medications

Doc delivery charges for Normal vaginal delivery $1200-2000.

wondering is the package worth?

hospital charges from $1200 for 2 days & double room, $1938 for single room..
i'm abit confused by the table of charges..will ask the nurse during my OSCAR test next week..
