I dun recommend going to GP for infant under 1 year old. My SIL had bad experiences with the GP on the dosage of medicine given ( overdose) luckily things turn out ok in the end, but it definitely scare the life out of her. I personally like Ng Pau Ling (PD) at MT A :red:
Agree. GP may not have medicines suitable for bbs which are usually milder in dosage.

My DD's Pd is Dr allyson tan of kid's clinic @ Seng Kang Rivervale Mall. She is detailed and attentive. Just that the fees are not cheap and Qs are long. The clinic opens at 9am, the Q starts forming at 830am. Every visit there costs me around $70.
yeah i totally agree tt she is very detail n attentive. Wat makes her better is she is very patient wif parent's queries or doubts. Ya bad side is the queue is always VERY long which i dun really like it....it like even if i haf appt i still need to wait ard 1hr++ BUT mine cost ard $50++ most of the time.:tlaugh:

Used to go ABC Clinic at Hougang. But I dont like the fact that he only opened on certain nights, and the queue in the mornings was long, so I gave up.

We now visit Bishan Peadiatric which is available on most nights and even sunday mornings too. However, now that my kids are older, I dont bring them to PD each time they fall sick. Will usually visit the GP near my place who seems gd with children. It's only when the cough gets really bad and doesnt go away with medication or when they get persistent fever with diarrhorea, then I'll bring them to PD or KKH.

My PD is Dr Vanessa Tan @ Kidslink Seng Kang. She is very patient & my girls love her! The clinic assistants are very friendly & helpful too!

If you need a good dentist for your children, Dr Rashid Tahir @ The Kids Dentist (Camden Medical Centre) is simply great! His clinic so fun, the girls look forward to their dentist visits...

My friend also brought her baby to a GP but ended up in the hospital cos the dosages by the GP were too strong! I refused to bring my girls to GP when they are below 2 years old! Even for GP, I will only bring them to a trusted one & not just any clinic...

yes i agree not bringing infant to a GP. my bb was 6wks old when he had his first cough and it was so bad that we cldnt ignore it. it was eve of new year n his PD was closed so no choice brought him to a 'children friendly' GP. i was quite puzzled when he cld prescribe bb cough mixture. only to realise later from my PD that the cough mixture was meant for asthmatic kids n bb was not asthmatic. no wonder bb leg vibrated badly after the medication. so no more GP for us! :nah:

My two older kids used to go to Kinderclinic located at Siglap/Parkway Parade. Was initially attended by Dr Rhonda Watt. She was extremely nice and amicable but her stint at the clinic stopped until my second child turned 1.5yo. Her colleague Dr Vas continued to review my second child's development. But she was not approachable.

With 3rd baby, she has been checked by Dr Zainal Muttakin. Soft-spoken doc and he shares good info. He has a new clinic at Rivervale Plaza, Sengkang now.

Another GP I like is Dr Tan Poh Kiang at PJ Clinic(Beo Crescent). But he is very popular, especially on Mondays where there is usually a very long queue, impossible to see him. Dr Tan is good for both adults and kids. I know many people moved far far away, still come back to see him. His fees are reasonable, I think his pneumococcal jab is one of the cheapest.[/quote]

LAM BABY & CHILD CLINIC at Gleneagles #06 is very good. Sometimes I went to PJ clinic at Beo Crescent too.
