Pregnancy is about a woman growing into this new person as a parent. It is the time of one’s life where you go through a lot of major changes and experiences, all too suddenly. Being pregnant is mostly associated with the health and growth of the baby, but in actuality, it is also about you developing into a parent. A whole nine months of training into becoming a mother. Can one ever be ready?

Your transformation from a mere person into that someone with a very big responsibility of being a parent will be life changing. It may not be easy but you can be sure that by the end of those nine months, you will be ready.

More Sleep
When expecting a baby, your body will suddenly ask for many changes in your lifestyle. You need to slow down a little bit, take more caution with everything, rest well and sleep more. Going to sleep earlier at night will greatly help you, especially after your baby is born. Their wanting for feeding on unearthly hours is inevitable, by sleeping earlier you allow yourself to get enough rest without overly exhausting yourself.

Slowing Down
The pace of your life is definitely going to slow down once you are pregnant. You will find less amount of energy to do things you once used to do, you wouldn’t be as active as you were prior to pregnancy. This is not a fact to be worried about; having to adapt to these changes does not mean your life will become boring.

In fact, you can take on a lot more different activities that do not require so much exertion from yourself. Opting for long walks instead of a run, you may give up some of your leisure activities for more family togetherness. All these subtle but significant changes will make your journey very pleasant.

Taking Care
During pregnancy, the best way to take care of your baby is by taking care of yourself. Whatever you do, be it exercise, sleep or eating, everything affects your child. Keeping a healthy lifestyle with good amount of nutritious food, proper and lenient exercises and simply having a good time will have some marvelous impact on your baby.

Once you give birth, you will find yourself completely devoted to the needs of your child. Whatever the situation, your needs will appear to be always secondary. However, you must note that you can only have the energy and effort to take care of your child if you pay attention and take proper care of yourself. If you dont’t take care of yourself, you won’t be able to care for anyone else.

And lastly, the most important change one goes through during pregnancy is the bodily transformations. The miraculous adjustments it creates to hold and let another being grow inside you is nothing less than incredible. With pregnancy, you will be able to change the way you look at yourself. You start to value and respect yourself and not simply treat your body as something that must fit within a frame.
