If I am not wrong,your Gynae is Dr Benjamin Tham from Thomson Medical Center.Would you share how long your waiting time,how long your consultation time would last and how was Dr Benjamin Tham package and charges?Cos have to plan my finance part...so wishing I be able to choose a private doc than under subsidised as I believe there be much difference,do you agree?

Yup my gynae is Benjamin Tham.. when i with him... he is still with KKH... so i deliver my boy in KKH... As for the waiting time.. the longest i waited is about 45 Mins i think.... unless got other mummy who is going to deliver needs him.. then u gotta wait longer... I got a frenz who is seeing him now... i intro her too... his Package now at TMC i think is $650 from 4 Months till Birth... but of course not including delivery charges... When i was in KKH... my per visit him is about $75... Because that time when i was with KKH they got no package... so i needed to pay every visit...

As for private, of course is more diff... as in waiting time is lesser.. & also everytime will be the same gynae as u requested... but now since Benjamin is in TMC... is already consider private i guess.. that one in TMC is his own Clinic... u can go there & see him.. if u need his number i can PM U.. anything u need help can SMS me.. 91095809 ( Wendy )

Hi Arkin
Size does not matter that much but health does. When you are pregnant, you need to support mother and baby. From my friend and my experiences, you need to start taking folic acid (preferrably prenatal vits), take "por" soup, eat healthily that includes vits, minerals, iron, zinc, veg, fruits, etc) and rest well. I borrowed this book 60tips - fertility from the library and find it very useful. Your hubby needs to take zinc (from shellfish and veg/nuts) too.

You are probably still young and have lots of time to try. I am pass 35 years old already and had 2 miscarriages so far. I was diagnosed with Thyroid (hashimoto) problem last year, making conception harder. After series of problems at work and the miscarriages, i decided to take a break from work to rest and have a baby (time is running out on my side). I have tried a lot of ways - improving diet, exercise, stress reduction exercises, por soup, traditional chinese medicine and was even recommended to use essential oil from a friend.

I went for blood test yesterday and nurse called me this morning to tell me I am pregnant! I am so happy!

I was seeing Dr Tan from Thong Chai medical last month and find her very good. The only thing is you need to wait a long time for consultation and prescription and to see her weekly. She is highly recommended by a friend.

I used to have very painful menstrual cramp, which build up my pain threshold. Deep breathing releases the body's natural painkiller and is very effective when done correctly. No worries about side effects on Mum or baby. (Epidural made me vomit.)

I relocated to KL, so delivered in KL. you'd need mums in Singapore for the answers.

As for the waiting time.. the longest i waited is about 45 Mins i think.... unless got other mummy who is going to deliver needs him.. then you gotta wait longer... I got a frenz who is seeing him now... i intro her too... his Package now at Thomson Medical Center i think is $650 from 4 Months till Birth... but of course not including delivery charges... At KKH.... I pay overall for my check up is $1500 Plus... Plus taking of the Vitamin & doing blood test... But TMC will surely be cheaper.. because they offer the package.... so if u choose to go TMC u wont have to pay as much as mine... :tlaugh: as for the deposit for the ward & delivery... $1278... for B1..
That one got include that we requested for doc Ben... But as for CPF.. for check up u can claim... $450... as for the delivery & the ward claim i forget already... Hope this help

For breastfeeding.. i only BF for about 2 weeks... because i got baby blue.. so i will get very upset when i got not much milk.. so i stopped... if i plan for another baby... i will still try breastfeeding... haha.. now regretted that i never really BF my boy... For Bath.. when my boy is newborn my granny help me.. because i scare... haha...:tlaugh: try to ask for help.... i'm sure people around u will give u a helping hand... as for poo poo... i clean myself.... everything is quite smooth.. but tired... because every 3 hourly gotta wake up for feed.. & my boy got colic the 2nd day... so did not sleep that night as he cry badly....:001_302:

It gd to have another small brother or sister to Benson when you are ready for 2nd pregnancy.I also told myself to have at least 2 children so they can have companion,unlike me the only daughter.
Mentioning that in future will have people helping me taking care of bb,I dont think so.Cos after a simple marriage,I still stay at my mum's house,not in-law hse,my hubby move in with me.In future it be harder life.

I've also stopped working to try to relax more. Had lower back problems, so my job always exacerbate the problem. Now am working from home, leisurely at my own pace. Hubby and i have been trying for a year, no luck yet. Been to gynae and had all tests and all came back normal. HSG done too recently. Normal too.. So now scratching our heads and figuring out what next..ha...
Its my 2dpo today according to my iphone ovulation calendar, on a 28days cycle. Back to the 2 weeks TTC wait...haiz...quite stress at times.. Also had a chemical pregnancy 2 months ago...very sad...hope all's the best this time..:wong29:

I already get well from baby blue... it only happen to me on the first week after my son is born... my hubby took 1 week leave to help me out at home... & luckly i staying with my parents now.. & granny is a stay home.. so she is helping me now when my hubby go work... so i consider quite luckly to have so many helping hand... Try to ask for help when u needed it... don't be like me... the first week after i got home from hospital.. i keep wanting to do everything myself.. thats y i'm stress.. but now i'm getting better.. hehe...

Didnt online on Tue as promised cos I nearly forgot I worked 10am to midnight.So from Tue to Thur(which is today),I am still working 10am to midnight. Plus my friend told me her in-law passed away,so I later early in the morning will visit the wake b4 going work,haiz so less sleep.Today tahan last day full-shift work then fri I work 3pm,at least can wake up late.
I read your Blog,knowing you aren't feeling so well,so must take care especially diet,dont eat too heaty food.I observe many people sick also.
So you plan to be a full-time mum to bring up your son well or you plan to work?
If I were to have a bb,I guess only my mum would help out a bit.My in-law probably won't.There is no one else,still left my hubby lor.

Sorry have not been replying to your well wishes. It has been an emotional roller coaster ride for me for the past week.

After tested positive on home kit, I went to test my HCG level at my gyne's (Dr Nair at Mount E specialist centre). Next day, clinic nurse called me to tell me my HCG level was v high for 5week plus pregnancy. read on the net that this may not be good news. worried the whole day. The next day, did a scan and saw the sac and yolk sac but no heartbeat yet. Dr gave me utrogestan that make me nausea and sick and to go back for proluton jab twice a week. Make an appt to see dr next week. Continued to worry sick and prayed v hard for God's blessing and interception.

Before making a decision to take a break from work, I was a workaholic, travelling and working late. My health took a toil (still going to work when sick)until i got married to in laws who are v health conscious. The extend we do to pursue healthy living is hard to imagine (if you would like to know some tips, you can drop me a private note).

I first miscarried at 5 months 2 years ago. Reason not known but i suspect it was my thyroid autoimmune problem (not detected then). Had another chemical pregnancy last Sep and detected my thyroid problem through a detailed check. I am considered a high risk for pregnancy.

To ttc, i think it is good to go for some thorough checks for both husband and wife. Problems are unique to each individual and so got to work on the problem(s). My hubby has low sperm count. I had to force him to take proxeed supplementary drink dr prescibed and shellfish for zinc (thank god, his mother-in-law loves crab). For me, I had to weed out likely causes of thyroid problem and improve immunity. besides thyroid medication, I took prenatal vit from GNC daily, folic acid 5mg from Guardian at night, omega fish oil (make sure it is molecularly distilled), vit C (body cannot store vit C and this has to be taken daily), fruits in morn and night, less fried and oily food and more veg (i read some uncooked food veg like salad and yogurt is good), milk or calcium products and wholemeal bread, rice etc. Oh, I also take nuts (brazil nut for selenium), almond, pumpkin seeds, walnut, raisins (nuts can be toxic if consumed too much). Exercise is a must and for a lazy person like me, i like Yoga and swimming.

During ovulation, got to *try* very hard every other day And lots of positive thinking!

It was in July that I started seeing Dr Tan Siew Buoy from Thong Chai. I find her herbs v effective in stimulating ovulation.

I was told by a spiritual friend that all babies are a miracle from God and when you ttc, you need to ask God for blessing. How true.

I have not had IVF or IUI but my brother and sister in law tried for 4-5 times before finally given birth to a bb boy this Apr. I have also heard stories of friends who went thr miscarriages bef conceiving. I guess having a bb in our modern stressful society has become challenging.
