I'm delivering at NUH. ancing_tongue:
I wish the very best for you simiko!I just did my detail scan on sat.. Doc suspected my bb will have cleft lip n there is no stomach bubble.. Today I will go down to Nuh to scan again by specialist.. I really hope everything will be fine but I think I need to prepare for the worse also...
hihi.. mine EDD will be 6/3/2011.. but i am just worry we can't managed to book pre-netal massage too last mins.Hi 2011mummy,
Me too! My doctor is Dr Yu Su Ling fr SGH as well.. When ur EDD? Mine is 9/3/2011. Btw, hv u enrol for the pre-natal class in SGH?. I did n it starting on 7/12/2010 (Tue). During my last two appts, I gained an average of 2kgs per mth. My princess is abt 460gram (during 21 wks), now I m 24wks.
Sometime I hv the same feeling as well.. my tummy seem very very tight and pulling. As regard to post natal, I dun think u shld book now. If u going for C-Sect then u not able to hv the massage due to ur wound.. I m hoping for natural birth but there alot of things are beyond our control so I may end up having C-Sect instead.
I m playing guitar instrument music for my girl since a wk ago.. also intend to get some story books to read out for her.
As regard to next scan, I remember my doc mentioned that will be somewhere during eighth mth.
okok.. my next check up in early dec, will check with e nurse. do share abt yr lesson too.The fees is abt S$180/- plus... 8 lessons, complete within a mth (ie. 2 days per wk). Not sure if Dec class is full. If so, you better book for the Jan class asap. When ur next check up? Can ask the nurse n she will tell u to go room 25 (i think) where u register for ur class or u want to wait till I attended mine, then I can tell u if the lessons are good or not..
I not too sure abt 3D/4D scans. Anyway I m okay if there no such scan in SGH cos I m already very happy whenever can see my girl at the monitor liao.
Btw, hv u start looking for confinement lady?? I was told that now abit late to look for it cos mostly all confinement ladies will be booked by now..
My personnel view is YES. Cos u can't request or 'order' ur MIE to wake up in mid of night to feed the baby or to carry the baby every now and then when ur baby cries. Unless, ur MIE or ur own mum know how to bath a new born baby or change his/her clothes/diaper, if not it will be tough for you and the baby. I remembered few years back when I visited my little niece when she just borned. She is so tiny and fragile but with the experience confinement lady around, the way she dress up the baby is so fast and easy. As for confinement food, my mum will help up.okok.. my next check up in early dec, will check with e nurse. do share about yr lesson too.
i dont intend to look for confinement lady cos my mother in law can cook i tink.. confinement lady neccessary??
I guess just eat more carbs and fatty stuff? Coz that's the first thing I hear all the docs told my friends and me to cut down on when they think baby getting too big. But dont put on too much also lah otherwise hard for bb to come out.My baby girl a bit lesser than average in weight.
Any advice ?
:embarrassed:
Hi Alice, I go to a clinic at tanglin shopping centre. My gynae says i could deliver at TMC, Mt A or Glen and I chose Glen coz it's the closest to my home hehe.Hi mummyhu,
I'll be delivering at Gleneagles too,my doctor is Dr Chan Kon Hon,who's yours?
Dear mummies,
I just happened to chat with a colleague who is on her second pregnancy. She advise me not to focus so much on what to buy for the baby which we all did,but rather we should also be aware of the delivery part and the taking care of the baby. She advise me to take up some prenatal course which will teach you how to breathe properly during delivery. She said it's important to learn how to breast
feed also, cuz the first time she tried letting the baby latch on her breast for half an hour without any milk coming out,it was a very painful experience. I think what she said make sense so thought of sharing with you all.
Thanks for sharing. I have a friend who also just delivered and she had difficulty breast feeding, just struggling with the baby everyday for an hour each feed and she says so painful until her nipples feel like they are going to fall off. She also doesnt know if he's got enough or if the milk is flowing well. Anyway I was talking to my cousin and she was saying that after 2.5wks of giving birth, she just decided to pump for her baby instead for a number of reasons:Hi mummyhu,

Hi Jespang!Hi bells, every first time mummy will feel the same... just take your time to shop and surf (internet) around. Once you start shopping, you will enjoy it.. cos the baby's stuffs are so cute esp if you are shopping for a baby princess. Or maybe ask one of your girlfriends who is already a mummy to go shopping with you, at least she able to give you some advices.
I do feel abit lost sometime when it comes to choosing which brand is better or which shopping centre is having sale and therefore is selling cheaper... But I kind of enjoy this experience cos after all I have never never step into a baby department and shop for baby's stuffs before... is pretty fun!!
