oh.. i realize if my MS starts, other then getting away from the trigger ASAP, breathing (fresh air) deeply through the nose helps to control the nausea feeling. drinking some hot drinks helps too. hope u gals r finding good ways to curb the feelings too.. jiayou!

and i love tea, but as i cant take tea with caffeine now, i bought this mama wellness tea from thebirthshop.com (since i seldom go out shopping nowadays) n its pretty soothing and calming. :)

Morning Wellness Tea for nausea

i've bought mama to be tea from the same shop which has raspberry leaves in it and intend to drink it nearer to edd as i heard it helps with the delivery. :)

have fun shopping! :D

Hi Yuzudinga,

Wow .. you learnt knitting .. that's cool... Don't worry .. everything will be fine ... Woah .. another dream funni dream... guess being preg .. you feel scared at times ..especially wake up in the mid of nite .. ur mind start to wander off easily ...
haha.. yup! its fun to do some knitting since we shouldnt be sitting infront of the computer for too long. plus the baby can use it when he/she is born. i intend to knit a pair of mittens then a baby cocoon next. :)
the dream was when we just got married i think.. he will tease me about it every now n then..
after being preggy i have to keep a water bottle beside my bed since i get thirsty in the middle of the night..
so busy.. need to drink water then at regular intervals need to go pee.. dun think i have time to dream.. >_<

hi mummies, hope you're all doing fine & hanging down despite the numerous symptoms we're experiencing now.

dilys, you're not the youngest. i "beat" you by one year. hehe! i'll be 26 years old this october. but hey what's age if we're all young at heart and mind right? :)

anyway, on the topic about dreams, i think its perfectly normal to have more vivid/ridiculous dreams during pregnancy. i read that it's the cause of our hormones yet again. i have funny and scary dreams too. dreamt last night i watched a "live" vampire movie in which the vampire looked just like the main character. it was complete with all sorts of "effects" like a train appearing out of nowhere and crashing into a house in the sky! lol. ended with my dad taking my hand and trying to protect me from the vampire, and i woke up trashing my hand about and startling my hubby. even my wedding planner was in my dream, just cause my aunt told me last weekend that she ran into her at a wedding. lol! most of my dreams have been like that... i keep dreaming something/somebody's out to get me. maybe its just my inner self being protective of my baby.

CWL, have you recovered yet? i hope you're doing better. its no fun being down so sick when you have to deal with pregnancy symptoms right? you're right about taking too much medicine. i saw my GP for headache last weekend and he refused to give me any meds because he said even the "safe" ones aren't quite so safe anymore now that i'm pregnant and in my first tri. so i tahan the headache until it went away on its own. slept my weekend away and boy that felt so horrible!! try drinking honey water for your sore throat?

and dilys, thanks for your recommendation on tea that's safe to drink during pregnancy. i haven't been missing my teas and coffees as much as my coke though. i am craving for coke to no end but i'm holding out that craving so far. my mom and hubby refuse to let me have even a sip! they say all that gas, caffeine and sugar is a no-no for me and baby.

anyway have any of you mummies got started on stretchmark creams? i happened to drop by metro yesterday and they were having a 20% storewide sale so i got clarins stretchmark control cream and tonic body oil to try. the SA said they're both recommended during pregnancy so with the discount, i thought it was worth a try. paid $130+ for both bottles, and it was mentioned the bottles can last 2 months with daily use. i hope it works! i don't plan to start using until i'm in the 2nd trimester though (two weeks to go!!) just to be on the safer side. any mummies used stretchmark creams/oils in the first tri?

and out of curiousity, which gynaes/clinics are you mummies going to right now? or has it been already discussed and i missed the topic?

Hey Yuzudinga,

Thanks for recommending the tea ... Me too always have a water bottle beside my bed ... but never I dare to drink too much of water at nite .. cos' I m afraid of water retention that makes me balloon up .. & leg swelling. There're times that I drank too much of water at nite... God ... u cant imagine I woke up almost 20 times in the wee hours to pee.. I realised that sometimes there will be some swelling under the eye .. if taken too much of water . But It's gd to drink lots of water in during the day ... These few days ... weather really warm .....

Hey wondershine ...

Yeah ... I am doing fine .. thou' this morning got a terrible headache. Wow ... U r younger than me .. cool ...

If I can turn back the clock ... I wish I am now 18. haha ... Cos at least I won't feel so tired .. the energy level drop as you get older ..

Hehe .. I am sipping coke abit everyday . My mum take it very easy on this never she stop me from what I am craving for. Of Cos' I don't drink the whole can. Just a few sip .. sometimes just by smelling I feel so great .

Oh ya .. of cos Tea & Coffee is a NO NO. Your gynae must have tell you that.. No Coffee & No Tea. Coke does consist of caffeine .. but very very little caffeine .

My mum always ask me to take it easy .. haha .. she was telling me if I don't take whatever I crave for now .. next time bb will drool. My mum have been telling me all her experiences .. (for ur info.. she give birth to 5 of us .. all girls.)

My mum is very positive .. some of things .. she will patang .. like move things, nailing things @ home) .. she was sharing with me she didn't avoid any funeral, weddings & even hold her needles on her clothing when she was mending some clothes during her pregnancy.

Wow..something surprise me was .. she give birth to 5 of us ..without any epidural .. she can even walk straight after delivered without any pain "down" there.
Really a super mum ! I really can't imagine how she do that.

Hey.. drink honey is good . Honey is said to be a natural brain tonic .. it's got for bb brain development. A few drops in drinking water it's good ...

Hope you are feeling better now .. drink more water .. the weather is so warm recently ...

Hi Wondershine ..
Oh I haven't got mine .. I intend to buy the "Palmers Cocoa Butter Massage Cream Stretch Marks'. ( Look at the pic I attach) A few of my friend used it before .. they got no sign of stretch marks after used. You can get it from the pharmancy. I am not sure about the price ... but it's definetly reasonable. They said that start using now .. it's easier to control the stretch marks .

Oh ya .. I am visiting my gynae Dr Chen Lin Han @ Chong Pang *Yishun (Women's Specialist Clinic) He is a very nice and detailed doc. Oh ya don't forget to mention .. he is quite handsome .. haha ... he looks very fatherly ... He delivered @ TMC & Mount Alverina . My previous appt .. the nurse given me the hospital maternity packages to take a look ..

Hmm .. I think I will go for a Hospital Tour when my tummy gets bigger maybe when I am in my 5th mth.. Initally I tot of giving birth @ TMC .... but heard that the service @ Mount A is excellent !! So .. still thinking ..

Heard that Kkh now service is terrible. The nurses are not very helpful.

Wow wow wow.... Great to b reading the many updates from mummies! I did not know that stretch marks cream must apply, like NOW. Im so silly, tot stretch mark cream is to apply after giving birth.... So it's great to hear u discussing abt it! Maybe I will start applying after the first trimester...

I'm not really showing yet so haven't start buying maternity clothes. The tummy is "fatter" and breast width also increased (using bra extension at the moment), but can still fit into my roomier clothes. I'm looking at purchasing one or two maternity pieces from ASOS to try since they hv free shipping...

Mummy who fell sick: I hope you are recovering well. Not easy for us now but like what Dilys always say, we must Jiayou!!!

Dilys: thanks for recommending the short movie, "Baby & I". It's really a light-hearted and cute show and the baby is so cute! :)

Hi Janette! My ms not gone yet... Think lost weight but dint weigh myself. dont't worry about putting weight but dont't eat too much also k?

Yes, I get shoulder ache and headache when I sleep too much or nap in the hot afternoon. Get your hubby to massage for you. It helps. Or stretch a bit...head rotate right rotate left and up down left right.

Hope you feel better soon!
