My boy does not drink water from the bottle but he will drink from a cup. I bought those plastic shot glass size cup from ikea and hold it while he takes sips of it
Firstly u gotta watch your baby hunger cue. Crying is a late sign. U gotta latch the baby before he cries. I wont massage the breast if the baby is crying. In fact my lc told me I dun need to massage since its not lumpy. Latch on demand and your supply will increase after a few days
Pump every 2 hr in the day and 3 hr at night. Each time 20 min. Eat domperidone and fenugreek.
I have heard of oxytocin nasal spray but not sure whether it's legal in Singapore. Domperidone will increase the prolactin in your blood and prolactin is required to make milk
Janet, your baby is 1 year old? At this stage the dependency on your milk will not be that much. Maybe just offer whatever that u can pump and the rest of the baby diet can be supplemented by solid food.
Hi. Congrats on your delivery. You should thaw it in the chiller section. That way u can pour what is required and keep the rest in the fridge. Some pp choose to store in drinking portion so that it is easier and faster to thaw. Try to latch and give fresh. If u do want to givd ebm. Give...
Mother milk tea also has fenugreek in it. You may want to take domperidone. It helps some mother to relactate. However it's not easy to get it cheap as it require doctor prescription.
My opinion is that weight gain slows as they get older as long as they are meeting their development milestone and are generally happy it should be okay. Maybe you want to introduce solids like avocado which will give him good fats.
Do u try breast compression during pumping? Also u can try to hand expression after pumping. Since u latch it will be much easier for u to maintain supply when u work. Just focus on getting enough to cover for your bb daily feed while u are away and latch when u are back. Anyway u can start...
50ml output for a mum who latch full time is fairly good. Whatever you pump is on top of what your bb drink so I think your supply will increase after some time. The time of the day which u pump will also affect the output. U should see more vol in the morning. Just remember at least one month...
It may take longer to see results if u are doing exclusive pumping. Be patient and try to pump as often as u can. Your bb is still young so u can increase. I have friends who did intensive pumping and thdy saw results after 1 month.
I try to drink at least 1.5 ltrs of plain water in the office. Find that if I drink less my pumping output will drop a bit. Not a lot though around 20ml. I recall reading from somewhere that drinking too much will cause drop. But I guess it depends on individual. U can trial and error.
Took yogi and mother milk. Both didn't work for me. Can't remember much abt yogi as took it some time back. Mother milk makes my mouth dry so I ended up drinking more water. Interested in gaia as I think it contains goat's rue which isn't found in the other 2. Mother love more milk special blend...
Don't worry. U will have enough as long as u are determined. It will be good if u have peer support to cheer u on during your breastfeeding journey. I personally find it very important and helpful.
Btw invest in a good double electric pump.
I'm sure u can do it if u are determined. As for breast pumps if u are SAHM u probably can save cost by getting manual or single pump. Breast pumps may be expensive but formula is not cheap either. Don't forget all the benefits of breastfeeding. :D
Didn't see your post on husband not comfortable with u nursing in public. Did u ask him why? There's nothing embarrassing about nursing your baby in public. U cant see anything if u are using nursing cover. It's a pity cos if u can latch outside u can go out the whole day without worrying that...
