12 day after birth checkup - compulsory to have?

i came across a buddy in this forum that her gynae did not request her to go for the 12 days after birth checkup....

anyone same?

during my time i was requested to go, 12 day after delivery, and next appointment was for pap smear tat was i think 6 to 8 weeks after delivery.

for natural birth....i am not sure about caesarian ones.

my gynae did pap smear for me at initial stage to make sure that i wont pass any disease or virus to bb when i give birth.

but aft discharged, i still hv to go back to check my stitches. my bb also went back to PD to check that everything is ok.

mine is natural delivery.
