Hi,

Just to share my experience. My gal is attending art class at Rush-Me-Not Art Studio. As the name mentioned, it is a class when the kids are not being rushed thru their circulum. The teachers will go with the pace of your kid. It is not a class thing, you may have a few kids in the class but the things they do may not be the same.

I stayed in Bukit Batok, but everyweek, I will send my gal there (Novena Ville) for the class. The teachers are mostly from Nafa and this art class also teaches kids disciplinary and mannerness. My gal becomes very well mannered after attending the art class. This also involve some art thearpy where the school principal is actually trained in art therapy in Canada. This is also a very homely style of class, so I feel very comfortable with the class.

Pls note, I'm just sharing the above, I got no affliation with the school. I'm just happy that I've found a art class which accept very young children of age 3.5 yrs. And most of all, they are all very patience group of teacher.

Hi there

What do you think makes a Good Art Teacher? Is it necessary to have all the recognised qualifications eg. Moe Arts teacher, nafa trained, etc or simply someone who is creative, can draw and have a passion to teach? What do you expect your child to learn from taking arts lessons?

Just curious...

i personalli prefer NAFA and MOE trained...cos they noe how to interpret or catch signals from a child's work....
n they r properly trained to handle an art class....

There is a art teacher that used to teach art in PAP and Primary school. She is now doing freelance teaching Art and organize art parties for the little ones. You all can email her at lalart_@hotmail.com for more details.
