April 09 MTBs!

false alarms...anyone?
ugh...as mentioned earlier, my dear fellow april mommies....my edd is 3rd april.
I was admitted on 16 Feb 2009 because of a slight brownish discharge, then went into panic mode cos docs were worried pre term delivery... only 33weeks mah...
guess what? my baby boy played a prank again on last friday afternoon. am already 35 weeks...thought i was "ready".
there was more brownish discharge , and this time round , i just waited abit. changed a few panty liners, then still got abit of discharge... sigh, what to do? report to KKH lor... then stayed 2 nights, merely for observation and to wait for him to show more signs of wanting to be delivered. but no...my baby boy has other plans apparently!
erhm, at this point, just to clarify, it's not like menses. just maybe about a thumb size spot on the panty liner...did anyone of you get that discharge?
apparently now the gynae tells me that it seems that my body is this way, and if i see it again, not to panic. just monitor, if the brown discharge increases in volume, and more to fresh blood color...then report to hospital... grrrrrrrrr
i already warn my baby. wait for his turn, stop having these "alarms".
sigh.
any experienced mommies to comment?

Hi obscurestloh, I believe as long as your gynae says it is ok, then don't worry too much. Nonetheless, if you bb wishes to come out now, it's safe.
Does anyone know when the bb's head should be engaged? Mine has turned but head has not engaged yet...
And although my EDD is one month away, I'm having nightmares about labour! As in I actually dream that I'm having a difficult labour and wake up in cold sweat! I'm terrified!!!!!

yeah, same here.
gynae did say that head is down, but didnt mention about "engaged" ...and i am so silly to have forgotten to ask...
i think gynae will say if the head is engaged or not right?

To all April MTBs, are any of you experiencing a return of morning sickness? I had really bad MS until Week 20. It got better after that but now I'm throwing up again...I'm like as sick as my first trimester!
Anyone experiencing this??

my baby's turned a little bit. i feel more pressure down there. Some mummies have noticed that my baby bump is lower now :wong29:
But I'm not sure if she has engaged yet cos the pressure is inconsistent. And sometimes, it feels that she is like "lop-sided". Will be taking lots of preggie photos this week. haiz... so busy with work. No time to buy anything or pack room or take some photos.
There are more contractions this mth. ouch... she also moves a lot ard mealtimes. I'm finally working up an appetite. I'm like hungry every 2-4 hrs. I haven't put on much weight - 10 kg. Fortunately, doc says her size is alright. Will see gynae on thurs. I love seeing her scans.
we were so scared she'll come early as we just managed to clear her room. We'll be going to Taka to grab baby cot & stroller & other breast pump this thurs. I think it's on 14-20+ Mar. hope that'll be some special offers. Didn't manage to get any hand-me-downs, except for clothes. Pls share if u have lobangs. thks.
Baby name - we haven't thought much abt Chinese name.
We've settled (I think) on Christine for Christian name :shyxxx:
We love her so much. She's our first baby.

Christine is a lovely name!
My baby girl has turned but I don't think she has engaged yet. Am going for another scan this Friday; hopefully she has engaged by then.
I've bought all the stuff for baby. Just need to pack my hospital bag now. But I may still pop down to the Taka baby fair to have a look! Just in case there are stuff I need but forgot to buy!
What are your contractions like?? Mine are like a tightening of the tummy area and I've been experiencing menstrual-like cramps in my abdomen...are yours like that too?? Am really nervous...
Thanks Rosita. Managed to get 1 finally through frends and luckily got her cos couple days later other frends were also requesting for her in April. She's fully booked till end of the year cos heard she's really good even after confinement, if you still got questions on baby, she will still entertain you.
Mine has also turned down, in fact at very early around week 25. Went scan last week and he's still head down. Praying hard he will stay head down and engage soon cos want to try for natural. Many pple say I'm like ready to burst and very low though my Edd is only like 21 april. Hoping bb don't come out too early.
Also experiencing contraction - tightening around stomach. My gynae said if bb kicks hard, sometimes it causes the stomach walls to tighten hence the feeling. Mine kicks soo hard throughout the day and night! Once none stop for 4 hours at night that I couldn't sleep although I'm so sleepy that I couldn't stand it and cried. Tried different sleeping positions and even sitting up but only when I walk around then he stopped kicking. How to sleep???
Luckily my sweetie heard me and massaged me and got me a hot drink to calm me down. Told bb to be good boy and let mommy sleep. Think that calmed bb down too cos after that I had a good sleep.

I also have a "relapse" of MS but very mild as compared to yours. And I know it starts when i have not been eating for couple of hours. Guilty. Feels like throwing up which I will purposely do so that I will feel betta then quickly make my way to find food. Then I'm ok. Try to see if you can identify anything that's triggering your MS. If it's of any comfort, my first preggie MS was horrendous. It started from week 5 and lasted till week 25! The smell of food was enough to make me puke so every mealtime was miserable. I had to eat otherwise it does no good so really terrible and always eating plain porridge or something bland. But after I got through that, woah! my appetite was crazy and I ate really alot and crave for meat which I usually do not like - like revenge.

I've been craving for meat too! Have been eating (and throwing up) a lot of it! I know I should eat more fish but my cravings are for meat leh...
