i can sympathize with you..and i think you're super duper awesome for living with the in-laws. i can never do that.
though we have our own place, my mom would stay with us monthly for 9-10 days..and it's the thing that i drag the most. she always thinks i am not giving the best for my baby, and not doing the best for him. she always thinks her ways are the way to go. (i.e. she'd put my baby under the sun to sun him every morning, even though he sweats like mad, and his eczema flares up due to the heat..she doesnt care. she thinks he needs the sun and only morning sun is good. afternoon sun isnt.
she'd force my baby to walk all the time to exercise. he is not allowed to sit down and play with a toy, or stand next to the toy box choosing a toy. he has to be walking all the time as though he's on a treadmill.
i know she thinks that my baby is her 'do-over', another chance of her raising a child. but my goodness, i wish she would bugger off already..and leave us alone.
