Shorty, I was still 5-6 months preg looking right after giving birth. It is due to wind. I experienced slight pain in my post natal massage but it goes off shortly after the session and after I removed the binding wraps. My stomach is now flatter but I still bloat around my tummy area. Are u breast feeding? Cos I always experienced cramps after pumping or latching, my gynae told me it is normal cos bf promotes womb contraction so I will experience slight pain. I went back for my gynae review and did ultrasound scan, my womb has shrank greatly so everything is good for me. U can call your gynae to check.

Hi mummies, my bb is 9 days old. Currently I didn't direct latch him but pump out my milk. It is tough to sit there bcos I shld rest instead of sit there for pumping. My wound still painful as I went thru c-sec. But lucky no infection after my gynae checked ytd. A wk later I can remove it. Im still hesitating whether to engage postnatal massauer as I scare it will hurt my wound. Any mummies had gone thru c sec n still engage postnatal massage after 2 wks later? Look forward to your advice.

hi.. i had a csect and my post natal massage started after 10 days. but i must admt i forgot to check with my gynae if it was ok. (some gynae say 2/3/4 weeks so depend on urs). At my 1st week checkup my wound closed alrdy and womb was fine.

i started earlier coz cannot stand looking 6mths pregnant. and i know the massage lady is qualified type (Studied abd specialised in healing massage).
she massages my lymphatic points in legs, back, arms, shoulders. for tummy she just rubs the massage ointment lightly nvr go near the wound site and not pain, apply jamu and tied the wrap for me.
i did the massage for ten days(can do 7), with breaks in between..must break coz u will feel so sore!
the last few sessions was shiok coz i think my system is kinda cleared.. so it was more therapeutic for me.

now i have a slight tummy coz still flabby but so much better than i was before the massage. if i wear girdle my tummy looks flat.lol.
i dont expect to be in perfect shape now coz its onli been one month plus the inside wounds are still healing.

i think just go for the massage but i would suggest to go for qualified type or at least well recommended by your good friends.

As for big tummy adter giving birth..i think we shd remember that everybody heals differently (and not everybody can look like kate middleton).

my massage lady told me, it takes 9 mths for your belly to grow..how long would u expect it to shrink? so be realistic in our expectations, be healthy, be happy!

i know easy to say hard to do. sometimes i look in the mirror n wonder if my husband will ever find my stretchmarked flabby self attractive. and since i'm breastfeeding, i dont think he'll ever find my boobs sexy again. sighs.

For those BF mummies, if your milk supply is low, what supplement are you taking to increase the supply? The lactation consultant advice me to take Fenugreek fr GNC or Holland & Barrett. I'm taking it daily. Just wondering is it safe to take for long term. I forgot to ask the consultant.

Just felt my first engorgement yesterday, mik came in better on 4th day but baby seems always hungry and milk is not enough, spend whole day to feed. Pumping some to keep as reserves

Anyone baby not sleeping at night and wants someone to carry and keep crying?

Xtinee, there will be a few hours every night when my bb will cry if put down. so no choice have to carry till in deep sleep. even the rocker doesnt work.. i was wondering if it's colic? but she doesnt cry alot. only when we put her down.
my mum says it's normal coz my bb is generally good..so its just a moody phase.
i also dunno.

maybe u can try white noise? i notice sometimes my bb doesnt want to sleep when in aircon room but will sleep next to my humming air purifier.

Hi Xtinee,

My bb experienced the same on 4th day after return home. I BF him n mix with FM as my supply is not enough. he cried almost past midnight n we worried very much. The next morning we brought him bk to see baby doctor. After doc check..everything is fine to bb except he is hungry, he is crying bcos he is in hunger. Before we went in see doc, we feed him 60ml FM.. after 30 mins later he cried again right in front doc. Doctor said he is hungry. Can increase fr 60ml to 90ml if bb can take it. Maybe you can try increase the dosage n monitor. If you feed BM, bb will hungry faster compared to FM.

Thanks.

yes im thinking shes fussy as my milk might not be enough. Will try to feed her FM if shes still asking for more BM after im drained out.

Being a FTM our bundle of joy is really a headache minus the cuteness.

Yes I do agree with you. Very challenging esp to a FTM like me too.
I stopped latching my bb by pumping out my milk... it affected my supply now. My milk supply getting low... I think shld continue latch my bb again. This is the only time I can bond with my son. But my CL reluctant to let me do it as she finds that night time bb will find me. She didn't encourage me to BF my bb.

Can try latching during the day. Should pump out when baby is sleeping. BF will cause baby to keep wanting milk, my baby even latch on treating my nipple as a pacifier.

I think my baby have been losing sleep as i stopped feeding her FM recently, hope my milk supply will keep increasing, I heard it will increase by demand, have been draining it out these two days.

Yes you are right. More demand= more supply. It is wrong that I introduce bottle feeding to my bb bcoa now he got nipple confusion. Whenever CL bottle feed him, he just reluctant to suck n keep shaking his head.

actually to boost more supply, u should strictly latch on during the 1st mth. by continue latching, our breast will know to produce more milk. only pump out after latch if u still feel yr breast is full.
