Good TCM Doctor ???

Yeah its the old style chinese medicine that must brew. Doesnt taste good, but maybe I'm quite used to this type of medicines as my mum used to boil for us when young for cough, flu, etc. But I always find chinese meds effective.

No I didn't visit him for 1st one as we conceived quite fast. We weren't even really trying but just didn't use any contraceptives. So it was a bit of surprise! But now that we're trying, it seems more difficult!! So I may go see him soon. But problem is all my relatives go to him and I dont't really want everyone to know, then all the kaypoh aunties will keep asking, how how, any news? Stressful! And quite annoying also!

Yeah true, its stressful when relatives keep asking for results. And this could be also one of the reason where stress comes from. Well, wish both of us luck, hope to hear good news soon Did you do any fertility checkup? Thought most TCM will want to see our medical report before diagnosis.

No I just did general check and pap smear with gynae. He says if no success after a few months trying, then he will send me for more detailed check and scan. My period was late this time. Hubby and I didnt want to get too excited, but we were hopeful. So anyway once its over, I will go see my gynae. Then also TCM. Must keep trying!

Has anyone gone to see TCM Ban Choon Chan at Marine Parade recently? I went last week but his shop was closed. I decided to call first before going this week, but phone is engaged tone every day. My mum says that means the shop is not open. Anyone has update please?

He is in China this week to visit his daughter - during my last visit, he mentioned he will be closed from 15th Oct to 22nd Oct.
He is opening either on 22nd or 23rd... not too sure which day.

To be safe, I guess it's better to go on 23rd or 24th. Hope the queue won't be too long tho!

Yes me too.. I went last saturday at 8.30pm sharp and the sign says "Business Resumes on 22 Oct 10".. woke up so early for nothing -_-
heard from my fren who stays opposite, that they don't open 8.30am sharp on weekends.. Overslept? lol
Will ask my frens to see if its opened and call me before I go down. Don't want to waste another trip again =(

finally managed to see him.. very interesting experience. no q number, u sit at the next available chair and everyone moves with the chairs as the patients start clearing. i reached at 130pm and only finished seeing him at 5pm! with the haze and humidity, it was terrible. but quite amazing, he touched my pulse from both hands and told me my left side is very weak, and I didn't even tell him my left fallopian tube is blocked. told me I didn't ovulate this month but gave me medicine for 4 days of my next cycle.. my husband had to take for 2 days as well.. to strengthen his sperms.. and he had medicine for his sinus too, which he said was so bitter to the extent tat he wanna throw up Haha.. will update more when I start my dose of medicine... but a note of advice, arm yourself with Iphone, books, and mini fan cos its a really long wait.

I went to the chinese Sinseh during my pregnancy. I oso recomment my colleague to consult him. Initally her menses is not regular but after visit him for a few times. the condition did improve. Maybe you will like to consult him.

Hi Ladies, true enough the Sinseh i visited at Jurong West Ying Chuan and Dr Christopher Chen at Gleneagles didn't give a true diagnosis. I went for a second opinion from KKH, and they says that I am perfectly fine and I am ovulating well. Luckily, I didn't listen to them if not I will be under the knife for unneccessary surgeries...:mmad:

But now the problem lies with my hubby side, the only choice is to go for IVF. Haiz... :embarrassed:

Anyone could tell me if TCM could help in guy's sperm mobility and count?

Hi babyfross i heard that TCM can help. Not 100% for sure, but there have been cases i heard of where it was successful. No harm trying.

Seem quite scientific actually. I went to Ban choon chan at marine parade and he told me the purpose of each pack of herbs. 1st pack to increase LH etc, then after that 2nd pack will increase oestrogen etc. So you may want to give it a try. Gd luck!

Thanks Babybubbles for your advice. I heard abt Ban Choon Chan, but too bad I find that brewing medicine is very troublesome for me. Especially I have no time to do it for myself. So I am looking for other sinseh who prescribe medicine in powder or pills form.

I've read about this traditional chinese medicine as well, but I believe his medicine comes in herbs which needs to be brew. I find it quite troublesome, and some podders feedback that it taste quite awful.

Did you visit him when you are trying for your 1st?

Yes the herbs needs to be brew but it does not taste as awful as the powder form. I always brew it with pork. the taste is acceptable.

Hi all, you can try Dr Tan Kian Sing @ clementi. Have been seeing quite alot of TCM but didnt really work until i saw Dr Tan.
Did accupuncture for 2 months and now finally got pregnant.
Hopefully this pregnancy can be smooth sailing.

I am also seeing Dr Tan Kian Sing recently. So now waiting to see if i could get pregnant for this month...

Since problem lies with my DH, don't know how long it will take for us to see result. Hope we can strike as soon as yours too =)

Hi ladies, I been to this sinseh @ Marine Parade for 1yr but still no concieve so not all TCM works for everyone. My suggestion is, if you have tried TCM for 1/2 without success, please seek alternatives!

I have also seen TCM doc at Teck Chua Medical Hall for 1 yr brewing herbs for both husband and wife. (the TCM doc is from Tong Ji) I didn't managed to conceive.

I almost gave up. Then I turn to TCM under a charity organisation. I went to see the doc every Sat starting from July. I started to take medication but i found it too heaty cos doc says I am top heaty, bottom cooling (shang re, xia liang). I started acupuncture around Oct. I dragged my husband to do acupuncture too cos his sperms has poor movement. My husband did acupuncture around 3-4x, then in Dec 2010, I found myself pregnant.
