Good TCM Doctor ???

Have you heard of ageLOC R2? A supplement that helps to improve sexual health for both females and males. I have a friend who took the supplement and is now pregnant when her husband was diagnosed with 6% active sperm count while she was having PCOS condition. This might be something you may want to explore on, contact me at 9798 6863 and i can show you more. Have a good day.
ageloc R2 doesn't help at all! wasted money taking it for 1 year for both me and my hubby and nothing happened. consultant always claim that we must take it for longer period to see results. I dun tink one year for both of us is not long enuf. quite upset about this!

Hi all
im new to this thread. My hubby is diagnosed with low sperm count, immobile sperms n none rapid swimmers and also only 1 percent normal shaped sperms. The doc straight away told us to go for ISCI. But we thinking of alternatives first,

anyone know of traditional chinese medicine good for men? My friend intro mr Zhou shuang yin doc from queens street. But I can't find any review of him..

Thks!

Hi Polkadot

We've been seeing 陈秋梅医师 from 康得美 @ Upper Cross Street. She specialises in gynaecology. My hubby has sperm problems too but we're glad it has since improved.

Hope this helps..

Hello, hubby and I have just started trying and are thinking of looking for a tcm doc or gynae to do a check up. Any tips or things to prepare before going to look for 1?

I've conceived after seeing about 8 months of Dr Tan Lee Kee @ Ying Chuan Chinese Medical Hall (@Jurong East, near IMM). She sees both my hubby & I.
everytime before we see her, her assistant will ask when was my last menses.

here's what she adviced: -
- put me a daily supplement of folic acid & CooQ10, and my hubby on multivits (centrum) and CooQ10, on top of her medications which were all properly packed in sachets or capsules.
- gave us dietary advices, that's when my hubby stopped taking coffee and replaced with pure honey water every morning. (caffeine not good for our little swimmers).
- make me take ovulation test everyday until a positive result.
- makes use of western technology by referring us to western doctors to do sperm test, blood test, ultrasound, etc.....

but the western doc also prescribed some meds..... so i'm also not sure who should take the ultimate credit =P

Anyone has good tcm nearer to Punggol/Sengkang area to recommend?

If not I may just try the tcm at tmc... Reading the good reviews.

Thanks!

have been ttc-ing for a while, and kinda frustrating at times when we see red :( now thinking if we should see a gynae (any gynae?) to do a check up or should we just go TCM first? Confused and dilemma! Heard of cases whereby friend went to gynae and gynae said need to try minimum 2 years? Any suggestion?

I think it's good to see a gynae in addition to TCM. Call a gynae to say you want to do pre conception check up. This is to see if you have any physical difficulties, e.g. cyst or hormonal issue. You can bring your tests to TCM to optimise your body for baby. That's what I did. Hope it helps!

Hello Yukki, hang in there! I have a similar story as you - two failed IUIs, and always a mix of happy-for-them-but-sad-for-me to see my friends around me pregnant. With her help and also western medicine help via IVF, I am finally blessed and am pregnant now. But it took close to 2 years.

I went (and am still with) Dr Chen Qiu Mei at Health and Beauty Pte Ltd. I think she is really well known, and I am sure somewhere in this big thread are her contact details. She is at No. 38 Upper Cross Street, Tel 65344131. I had to wait 1.5months for my first appointment with her about 1.5 years ago. I started taking TCM over a year ago, and while I did not get pregnant, I could see my body getting stronger - which I think helped in my pregnancy journey. I was falling sick every month, and was always very cold at night. After I started seeing her and drank her medicine regularly, I now have rosy cheeks, no longer fall sick so easily, my ovulation came like clockwork, and AF flow was much better.

I am not sure about you, but I took Clomid for 6 months and that turned me into a monster. I was aggressive, grumpy to the max, and flared up at everything. I tell myself that rationally its the side effects of drugs, but it is so hard to control your mind and body. After that failed, I started injections, and my body did not react well at all. I however reacted well to Dr Chen's herbs. But TCM is like a tortoise - very slow and you need commitment and discipline to brew the herbs. I have friends (two in fact), who went to her and after drinking for a month, they strike toto and got pregnant. I drank for nearly 1.5years, and combined it with IVF before I finally am now pregnant.

I think Dr Chen gives more than medical advice - she gives emotional support to all her patients. She comforted me whenever I was disappointed with my results, and gave me hope whenever my doctor gave me bad news. She would say things like "there's always next month!" or "continue to take my medicine and soon it will be your turn", or "don't give yourself so much stress, I am here to help you", or "You are going ivf next month? Ok stop all medicine I gave you. I will prescribe you with stronger ones to support your womb" etc. When my doctor was a little hesitant with me going to TCM, I told him that Dr Chen is more than a doctor - she gives me psychological and emotional support and makes me happier. The current doctor I am with (Dr LC Cheng from Thomson Medical) is a big believer in TCM and I am very happy to be supported on all sides.

Every woman is different, and I have been there - don't be overly stressed or sad. I felt that I was sabotaging myself when I got depressed. At least you are doing something and getting medical intervention!!! I am not sure if you are considering IVF - if you are, all the best, and TCM will only help you in your journey. Relax and know that somewhere in Singapore, someone just crossed her fingers and toes and eyes for you! xo

Thanks, mei2009! Yup I think I'll go and do a pre conception test as well. Was thinking to go tcm to regulate my menses. This month it came twice. And the thing is my menses isn't regular every month which makes it difficult to predict ovu as well..

Dear Capeview

I used to go to Tong Chai Medical at Chin Swee Road. They have a fertility unit there. Many of my friends went there and are successful too. I'm now a proud mother of 3 kids. Give that place a try. Good Luck!
