some of the mummies here have delivered in TMC and Gleneagles if they chanced upon this thread can advise u.

in case if u are worried i have my figures in 2005 for KKH:

...I would also like to know the charges for a gynae
Typically for an experienced one during my time was 80+ first visit, subsequent visits are $40+/50+. As a gauge u can standby around $100 every visit because sometimes we need to pay extra for blood tests/other tests. Antenatal checkups are once a month. When its nearer your EDD (34weeks onwards) it will be fortnightly. I believe the current charges are thereabouts.

...as well as e hospital charges hmmm had dwnloaded the ma ternaity packagecharges for a few hospital but dun undstd what the charges meant ????????
maternity package allows u to claim $450 off antenatal visits, but can only be deducted through medisave once u deliver. So either u use it now or later its still the same.

anyway anybody can provide any recent hospital bills @ lest i can set aside some savings for dat.
As a gauge for u, mine was KKH. if u r staying in 4-bedded (like me last time), need to pay refundable $1000 deposit upfront during admission. Subsequently it depends on wad delivery method u are opting for (Natural, with epidural or without or Caesarean). For me last time was natural without epidural. They deducted $1500+ from my medisave and i get a refund cheque of $800+.

we can use medisave oso rite ????? really appreciate any info on all my queries. thank you so much.

but u will be entitled to baby bonus on 1st child, last time i was given $3k, now is $4k i think.

Congratulations!:001_302::001_302::001_302:

the next time u go to the clinic, ask them for the maternity package paper. all the fees r stated there.

based on that paper, it says:

first payment : $400 (not incl GST)
- payable at 20 weeks of preg n non refundable
- covers consultation fees for scheduled antenatal visits at clinic
- blood test, ultrasound scans, CTG, emergency consultation outside office hours n other non-maternity consultations not incl.

balance fee for :
normal delivery $1000
c sect $1800
- collected by hospital on discharge
- gst not incl
- covers 1 visit aft hospital discharge
- surgical assistant fee incl
- for those w/o medisave acct, amt will b collected at 34th week of preg
- does not incl fees chargeable by hospital, PD and anaesthetist.

i think the diff now is that KKH dont have any packages .... I am quite confused about the "booking" for A1/B1 wards also...dont know what the "package" includes that makes it worth the early booking.

Anyways, fyi, i did not see a specific gynae till i was about 20 weeks... thats when i spend about 100+ for each visit.

My first 2 visits were at the public KKH clinic C...so it was cheaper. well, I am not sure what are the other mummies experiences...maybe i was abit "bo chup" but i feel that the earlier u book a specialist, the more u will end up spending...but of course if u have alot of "special" concerns and condition..then yeah, better stick to one specialist as early as possible.

Now that I am seeing ML Yeap at KKH Private Suite...I am really not sure if it was really the wise choice to spend "more" money on consultation...cos it seems really generic comments , nothing special. Yet again, i think the Med Officers and staff at the public clinic can really make ur blood boil...sigh...
so no choice lor...already chosen my gynae...abit too late to ask for another gynae right!

heh

just my personal sharing. hope to give some insight
