When my nephew was young from 2 plus to 4, he was always coughing too...somehow chinese medicine do help.Try changing to another reliable chinese doctor and see if it works on her.I am not sure about others but i have 2 boys and both see different TCM cos the medicine is not effective on either one of them.

Aviod eating chicken, biscuit, cold stuff like watermelon, cold drinks...Every child is different yours is coughing mine is sore throat....

I rather sore throat then cough .... Nite cough very tiring and always disrupt my sleep. The strange thing abt my gal's cough is tat ther is no trace in the day and my MIL or her sch teachers will give her cookies n biscuits coz she seems perfectly well.

sound like a cold cough which only happen at night.Sore throat is not easy to handle either especially the fever that can hit 39 plus. Each time i am so worry it will cause damage to their brain.Aviod aircon maybe it will be better

Sambucol is a type of herb tt helps to boost immune system. I still got quite alot of brand new bottles cos i ordered from US in cartons (it's cheaper to order more).

Colostrum powder I give Childlife with probiotics. Find it more effective than other colostrum powders we've tried.

Do you know what you are talking about? :bconfused: :bconfused:

When a toddler gets sore throat (like mine is now), he gets high fever ... apparently higher than when he just have a cough.
Other than that, he has extreme difficulty swallowing ... meaning he will reject his food, ending up with a drastic weight loss ... if it's bad enough to even not wanna drink his water, he could even get constipated ... etc etc.

So, you still rather "sore throat than cough"?
I think ... you'd rather be the one to fall sick in your daughter's place, right?

Can you shed more light on its effectiveness?
My wife just started my older son on the same colostrum powder earlier this year ... so far, I've only noticed a sharp increase in his appetite, almost like some kind of growth spurt. Was it the same for your child? :embarrassed: :embarrassed:

Same here ... but on both occasions where my older son has hit 39C (epiglottitis last Aug & tonsillitis this week), I've had my ENT specialist tld me that high fever will NOT cause damage to their brains ... at best, high fever will trigger off chronic epileptic fits in the child.

No choice ... for the sake of my boys, just gotta be the kiasu kiasi Sillyporean.

Mmm....looks like u are on the same boat as me. I just wonder does some kids get sore throat more easily than others kids ...just like mine...
I am so sick of giving them anti-biotics.At times some doctor will advice try let their bodies fight over the bacteria for 2 to 3 days if fever continue then starts anti-biotics but each time the fever hit so high that i decide to start anti-biotics before it become worst.

Lately i let them try UMF Manuka honey and somehow it does help on reducing sore throat a little. this time round my boys got running nose, cough but it does not trigger a sore throat...keep my fingers cross

I really really hope i have found this remedy helpful cos i have been can't worry over this issue for a long time.
