Wanted to make the dipping sauce with cut chillies and soya sauce btu fidn that my soya sauce (Tai Hua Standard Light Soya Sauce) has a strong smell. It doesn't smell like the dipping sauces at the food stalls.

Is there a particular soya sauce that is used with cut chillies? Anyone can recommend?

For my family,
Light soya sauce wz cut chillies: kikkoman/Lee Kum Kee Premium soya sauce
Dark soya sauce wz cut chillies: tiger brand
YumYum!

Here's a recipe to add some twist to the usual cut chillies with soya sauce.

-Half teaspoon of sesame oil.
-Half teaspoon of plum sauce.
-Chopped spring onions.
-Fried chopped garlic
-Cut chillies
-Soya sauce

Mix everything together and there you have it a delicious dipping sauce. Yummy!

Haha Babe, nobody is a idiot la.

Chopped sping onions 1 stalk
fried chopped garlic- 2-3 cloves
cut chillies- depends on urself, usually i cut up bout 2 cos i use chilli padi
soya sauce- 4-5 tablespoon( tis much cos everythin mix up tog if u dun put more soya sauce it will be dry not nice.)
For the plum sauce if gonna use more than 4 table spoon then add 1 full teaspoon instead.

The final product taste a bit of everythin, sweet, slightly sour, saltish, and fragrance from the sesame oil, spring onions n garlic.
