2011 - Anyone doing IVF? Succes?

Hi Liliankoh,

I booked a date with KK and was waitlisted for 2 month.. So, my process start here, (in between, there're alot of scanning and blood test) I became a regular, same for all... lots of time commitment.

27th Jul: Cycle 1, Day1 AF visit (call doc to make appt for Day21 which is 16th Aug)
16th Aug: Start my Lucrin injection, everyday
26th Aug: Cycle 2, Day1 AF visit (continue with Lucrin)
1 Sept: Start Puregon (+ Lucrin)
12 Sept: Retrieve Egg + Sperm
14 Sept: Ovum insert
Every 3 day need to inject pregnyl for 4x.
MC from 12 - 30 Sept (but i am back to work on 26)
Result test on 30th Sept. Wish me good luck!!

today is AF due date, please dont visit me, give me a break... i had a test yesterday and today, got 2 faint positive line, but worried is bcos of the pregyl injection.. so i shall monitor these few day till 30th my visit to KK.

My AF using (+)(-) 1/ 2 days, so cross fingers.....

You will still the full subsidies from govt even if you walk in as long as you did not opt to transfer 3 embryos (standard 2embryos with subsidies)

Normal Consultation fee for dr loh at clinic D $70 below c/w scanning. As he is very famous in Kandang Kerbau Hospital ivf hence waiting time is like <4hrs if he have any emergency operation.

Personally i hate waiting hence I'm a private patients in Kandang Kerbau Hospital I visits dr loh at private suite ! If you hate waiting too you can consider to visit him at "The Private Suite" $80 plus minus. Waiting waiting time less than an hr, any emergency waiting time 2hrs max.

But, you have to take into consideration if you are pregnant as a private patients charges will be slightly higher than clinic D patients when child birth. :shyxxx:

yes she is a ivf baby a gift from Dr Loh. She is only 7months still a baby not toddler. keke.. my hubby is tall hence she is much taller than her age and she's very chubby too.

I have a gf who did 1times IUI and 3times IVF all failed, in the end she conceived naturally. It's all fated not you cant have babies it matter of time only.

Tips for you...usually Dr loh will not encourage you to do ivf if he finds that you are able conceive naturally and wait for 6mths. However, if you cant wait for it to happened, you have to insist you want IVF then he will fix appointment with ivf centre for you. heehee....

i failed my IVF.... and also 6xIUI.... naturally also none... already 8 years .... see that many of you 1st IVF success really make me cry and touch and happy... just hope god dont wait till too long then give it to me...

I went to KK today for my appointment with Dr Loh. but, jeez...!! I had to wait 15 minutes just for registration (and I was 20 minutes early), and then I was given a queue number.. and waited.. and waited.. and I notice that my number is nowhere close to the one on the screen, so I went to ask a nurse, and she said it would take me 2 hours to see Dr Loh -_-

so, after speaking to another nurse and finding out that this is apparently normal (two+ hour wait time) for Dr Loh, I decided to leave.

I'll go the private route. I may be able to wait two hours, but once my husband is involved, he wouldn't - couldn't - wait two hours.

yes if you have gone to the clinic D waiting time is crazy. His private suite is much faster within an hour.

FYI, Dr Loh is leaving KKH to carry on his practice in TMC soon. You may want to follow him.

I'm sorry to hear that. Dont be discouraged yet!
As mentioned before, i have gf whom failed IUI & 3x IVF and conceived naturally when she got no more stress. I also have a gf tried for 7yrs natural and went thru IUI & IVF too in the end she got a twins. **importantly do not stress yourself it will come naturally when you have a relax mind and body.

I had ET yesterday. And I wonder how come I am not prescribed pregny ~!! How is this done? yourself? or did you go to kk to have the nurse inject for you? I was given progesterone 200mg 3x a day to be inserted into the Vagina ~ were you given this too?

when i was ET, i was given pregny to inject myself once every alternate 3 day... i had total 4... depending on your body when you go for U/S if you need more anot... i actually injected by hubby, dont need to go hospital is like normal injection...

i wasnt given that.. mayb diff body... Makino, dun stress.. relax... 2ww is very fast... rest well and good luck to u

Tmc I'm not sure of the waiting time but my gf ever waited 2hrs to see her gynae in tmc clinic too.

You will still get full subsidies by the govt even u are visiting the private suite cos u r still in kkh. But ivf centre waiting time is crazy if u met with hot dates. fast within an hr scanning and everything done, there are times when u will wait like 2-3hrs especially when consultation with ivf dr to scan your folic size. Dr Loh will be your dr for retrieval and transfer of embyos.

There's no extac date when he's leaving yet but confirmed/definitely he will be going over to tmc!

Btw, in the end did u get to see dr loh when u r there??

how have all of you been?

I got my period again. I was so, so crushed. my husband and I really tried last month. ovulation kit was positive (very clearly so, for the first time), and we had lots of time together but all for nothing!

just to update all of you, I called KK hospital, and Dr Loh is confirmed leaving KK, and is not taking on any new appointments. So is Dr Hendricks!

also, none of the other IVF specialists are teamed with the private suite. so just have to go to Clinic D and suck it up.

I've made an appointment with Dr Sadhana. a month from now. sigh! another month to try 'naturally'. hoping for the best.

I hope you all have better luck than me!
