jeanette i'm like u!

my breasts aren't sore anymore and at the beginning my nipples will be protruding... now back to their inverted look... i'm really worried that the symptoms going away means something bad :( because one day few days ago i dreamt my bb heartbeat stopped, cried like mad. no discharge though. can't wait for my next appt next tues!
Hi felicity,

Dont worry.. You won't be having sore breast tru out pregnancy. :) nipples will be protruding or inverted really due to hormone changes. A normal pregnancy ... Mummies can have inverted & flat nipples.. U don't have to worry just take care well of your nipples.. You can used a nipplet to correct ur nipple. If I m not wrong Avent nipplet is abt $79.90

Inverted & flat nipples u will have difficulties in breastfeeding.

Hi moonjellie, went to see a specialist recommended by my gynae. looks like everything is in control now. he asked me to stick to seritide n my ventolin and will see me again in 3 wks time.

u take care too.
Hi mflee, I have asthma too. Are you taking any preventer for it? If you are, pls chk with your doc if your preventer is safe for pregnancy. I used to use seretide but my doc changed it to pulmicort which he says is generally safe for pregnancy. Ventolin is ok. Hope you'll feel better soon!

It really depends..on individual.. Some mummies they will have inverted flat nipples u just got to correct it 6 to 8 weeks using nipplet before ur delivery. Taking care of your breast (aurola & nipples) at the earlier stage of pregnancy will help u in successful breastfeeding :)

Take care ur breast by wearing comfortable bra, no using of soap to wash your nipples (*to prevent cracks n drying).

For successful feeding.. U got to have a good latch & positive attiutude !
Did u go for any prenatal class ?? Actually prenatal class is very useful for a first time mum. U will be fully aware of what is happening during pregnancy.. N u would panick when "the day" comes.

yea jiayou!

i'm eating as usual at work (not much choice in canteen) but in evenings i'll look for things i really want to eat... but sometimes after buying my dinner realized the taste just ain't really what i'm looking for, and i may just eat a couple of mouthful and throw away the rest... then ended up eating buns or 7-11 mashed potato... =/

if i spend my weekend with my parents it'll be all fine. but if i spend my weekend at home i may go crazily sick as MIL's cooking just smells awful to me, sad to say to... sigh~ after married for 4 years, i'm still not used to living with my husband and his family, neither can i adapt to mil's cooking. what's wrong with me?!

confinement will be back at my parents' place... cos i still prefer eating my mum's cooking. thus for that one mth, my hubby won't be by my side... as there's not enough room for both of us plus baby in the tiny spare room... which is a partition of the living room actually...

i would really love to hv him by my side to see all the trouble i'd hv to go thru :p but it's just too inconvenient for him... he'll prob visit over weekends or something...

my mil can cook super well... i mean my hubby, his siblings, his relatives and even his friends are all super crazy over her cooking... but i'm not a fan. let's just say, different backgrounds, different style of cooking. heh.

thanks jeanette!

Anyone took MC to rest say 1-2 days due to pregnancy symptoms disrupting your capability to work? example: morning sickness, headaches, dizzy spells etc?

Do you get the MC from your gyane or visit company dr?

I'm thinking of getting MC from company dr as I do not wish to arouse suspicions in my office if I were to show an MC from a gynae. My HR has quite a big mouth and I understand that company dr is obligated to share info with the coy if they check but chances of that are very low.

Noone in my company knows I'm expecting yet and it's only 2 mths. I'm only intending to spill the beans once I crossed the first tri.
Anyone can advise?

For this year alone, I have taken 4 days ML. Took ML to rest because MS was bad. ~_~" Nomally I go GP or poly and told them I'm expecting. Unless you happen to visit your gynae on the day you want to take ML, then just ask from them. If you take too many ML, your company might suspect something too right? For me, some of my colleagues are already playing the guessing game when they look at my boobs and my tired look, not to mention my frequent ML within 2 months. ~_~"

Thanks! I've not taken any ML yet as it only worsened now, hopefully I can endure till the 12th week. But you didn't tell your colleagues yet, right?

Hi dear,

If u r lucky .. MS will stop at 12 weeks, bad I will last till 20wks. Worst case till delivery. So u should get urself a solution to helps ur Ms abit better. Like for me during my 1st trimester I went tru with the help of sipping & smelling of coke.

Sigh, I just taken over my colleague's duties as she went on maternity leave. Now just worried on whether I can cope with the additional workload or not. I feel better eating smaller meals and taking sour plums.

1st trimester u got to rest more .. Don't over excert urself. 2nd trimester will be back to normal if u r lucky. (*best trimester of all) .. 3rd trimester can be as bad as 1st trimester.. But by feeling the movements of baby.. (*the bad will not be not that bad) but will be very tiring...

Didn't know it will affect the pregnancy but what to do... I can't quit, I need to continue working.
Actually, comtemplating telling my superiors earlier that I'm expecting yet I don't want them to think I'm using it as an excuse.
I will try my best to cover my colleague's work load for now. I also go home straight after work to get sufficient rest. Must remind myself to think happy thoughts instead of getting upset at work, I face alot of inefficient people so I get angry easily. :(
