EDD Nov 2012 mummies here

wobblymummy, becareful on drinking too much 'strength boosters' too close to labour. my chinese sinseh recommended to stop all the 'pou' stuff a month before delivery. It might cause more bleeding during labour.

If u all still feel pain then maybe can place a belly support underneath . I feel more tired not doing things. Maybe I'm a dance teacher n my student dance exam is on 21st Oct so can't help. Have to tahan till then. But I feel better when I teach then to laze around :)
Of cos I feel very tired at night. Oh drink chicken essence now.. Boost up ur strength in labor..
Babyeskimo, thanks for ur advice.
Shall stop after my 6 bottles.
I starting to have itchy nose these two days... Thinking of getting a air purifier. Anyone has any to recommend ?

barneybaby, best not to keep taking medication if you are almost well... if u have been taking for a week or two n just have little remaining then hopefully u will get well soon - eats fruits n try to boost immunity

for air purifier, my boss used to have a huge panasonic ioniser but its huge n i think quite pricey. he swears by it n says it works though

my sis uses sebamed nappy rash cream for stronger rashes too. not all pharmacies sell it though, i bought mine at kk hosp pharmacy. one of the ingredients listed is titanium dioxide ... isn't that similar to zinc?
Katherine, why is zinc bad?

Mummies, who is having rashes still? Any good creams to help soothe it? Should we consult our gynae if we developed rashes? Because I heard that if the rashes is quite serious, it is better to be induced and I'm not sure if gg to family clinics help.

Hi fynzy, how does your rashes look like? Are they big patches by big patches? I'm starting to get rashes too, initially at the backside but then it got better and now my thighs are having it. It is also slowly spreading to my lower tummy. Not sure if it's PUPP too.

Hi all mummies or mummies-to-be,

This is my first post here. EDD 23 Nov, boy.

Decided to post here cos ive been having sleepless nights for close to 2 weeks now due to unbearable itchiness all over my body. I finally went to the skin specialist today and he concluded that its PUPPP. I am only in week 30/31 and this will only go away when i deliver.. so I got to bear with it for another 8 weeks or so! Sigh its so depressing!! Also been given oral steroids and steroid cream to apply.. I really dont want to take any steroid for fear of affecting the baby but seems like ive no choice. Anyone else facing this issue? How do you get relief from this mad itchiness everyday? I've awful rashes, raised bumps all over my body except my face. :(

Hey, I developed pretty bad rashes on my tummy n my arms. My doc said it was pregnancy induced but to put calamine lotion to soothe it. That worked and now no more rashes, just itching on my tummy once in awhile.
Maybe you can try that first?

I was using Bio-oil (night time only cos a little oily) and "Spoiled Mama" cream (day time). Think the oil somehow made me more itchy although I heard of people swearing by it. The cream doesn't make me itch as much so now I'm just using the cream and stopped using the oil.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. What my gf meant is that if baby does not have rashes, don't apply rash cream because it contains minerals like zinc. Instead apply skin cream or lotion so the incidence of rashes will be reduced. She is using sebamed skin cream, not rash cream.

I have sinus so hubby very kiasu, bought the Honeywell air purifier and the sharp ionizer. We turn on the ionizer every night, the Honeywell occasionally. But maybe when baby is born, will use more of the Honeywell I guess

I didn't have back pain but I did have menstrual cramps before. Gynae said its the fake contraction. The antenatal class did mention that need to support the lower back in case of back pain, perhaps you can try cushioning more??

ahhhh okok
i saw this ingelsina pram below (this really invokes the word perambulator) that looks so old school ahhahah - i thought of you Katherine57, cos you mentioned you got the ingelsina stroller. am sure its not this one but it made me think of you :)

lyndi, i have heard from some friends where bio-oil has caused allergy reactions but i think its immediate. if you have been using it a while it shouldnt cause it, it would aggravate it. hope you get better soon... almost there!

I get that very often in a day..
There's no discomfort and i only realize that tummy is hard after i coincidentally put my hand to tummy...
For me it lasts 15-20secs?

Wonder if that is BH...

For mummies who have had this experience, do u think its BH or its cuz baby is moving/changing positions/pushing spine against our tummy?

Cuz when my tummy's hard & i put my hand to tummy, i can feel that my baby isnt moving at alll...

So im not sure if its caused by baby..... :(
