CHEERS!
Hi there,Hi... I finally know what’s wrong with my wife legs . She has Erythema Nodosum. An inflammation of the fat cells under the skin, her legs was so swollen last Thursday. She has to be sent to Mount Alvernia and stayed till sat before she was discharge. Due to her pregnancy, the doc was unable to give her the usual treatment and only light panadol and some cream to apply on her bruise like lump. Now she still has swelling on her legs even though it’s not as bad as before. But the bruises like lump are still around. At night the pain will be slightly more and it really pain me to see her in this condition. The doc said it will take another 4 weeks before it will completely recover. Now can only rest at home and pray for her to recover soon...
Hi Voxz...Hi there,
Has your wife recovered from Erythema Nodosum?
I am also suffering from Erythema Nodosum for 5 months now and I am still having those bruise like patches on my calves & back of my legs.
My doctor did not give me any medication, claiming it will go away in 4-6 weeks but it has not I am desperate for a solution.
Yes! This was the playmat that we'd bought - we went for the Miffy design which was going at a special price during the fair. The website is Small Small World - I think they deliver it to your place if you order online, which is great because they are quite heavy! These mats come in different sizes as well as thickness. Go have a browse through the designs!Did you mummies see the booth selling a type of mat which is quite soft, have different pictures (Phoo etc.) and come in different sizes? Think the price ranges from $140 to $210, something like that. Your baby can learn to crawl and play on the huge mat and it's washable and spongy enough not to hurt your baby when he/she falls. I wanted to buy that, but was quite hesitant so in the end, I didn't buy.
Really? That's interesting, no I didn't know there was such a thing - but yeah, like mrs_eg said it sounds like it might be better than normal loose powder I guess. There is also something called liquid powder - applies like liquid but it dries up quickly to become powder form. Not sure whether these are available in Singapore - but don't know whether it is any good?do you know Pigeon have compact powder? its originally formulated for baby's use... like you said about the wiping motion, do you think tis product works better in minimising the floating particles???
I went for my checkup yesterday. Baby is at 1kg, 27th week. So I guess at 24th week, 570grams is normal. My gynae told me to watch my weight gain. I have gained a total of 7kg, and she said I should not be putting on 0.5kg per week from now on :embarrassed:Hi ladies, how much does your baby weigh at week 24? Mine weigh at 570gm.

nightingale, what size did you buy? I think we can only safely put the baby on the mat after he/she learn to crawl? or at least able to sit up? Or can we just put the baby there at new born? Hee...I'm really quite interested.Yes! This was the playmat that we'd bought - we went for the Miffy design which was going at a special price during the fair. I think I will get the compact powder to try out also :tlaugh:, though I just got 2 huge bottles of J&J powder.do you know Pigeon have compact powder? its originally formulated for baby's use... like you said about the wiping motion, do you think tis product works better in minimising the floating particles???
Mecolemummy... U sure the pigeon compact powder can be use on babies??? Cos i went to see... It never say its for babies leh... the box only say smthing abt minimising pores and sebum secretion... Sounds like for adults...Well, the material are not the same but its good enuff for mi... it's soft and smooth enuff. Some of friends are using it and so far no complain ^^
they have 2 sizes $59.90-200cmx100cmx12mm (single bed) and $79.90-200cmx130cmx12mm (super single).
For the Pigeon compact powder, it smell and feels good... just need to wipe. it really minimise the floating particles in the air!
My frens bought one for their new born jus to lie on it... Can use as changing mat too... But of cos in no time the baby know how to crawl already...nightingale, what size did you buy? Yes yes, I think if we're going to be buying it for the crawling phase we might as well put it to good use sooner - stretch the dollar a bit haha!My friends bought one for their new born just to lie on it... Can use as changing mat too... But of cos in no time the baby know how to crawl already...

Hi Delvy...I am also quite concerned about my weight gain because I really eat alot these days. I not only eat full meals but also snacks in between...I went for my checkup yesterday. When I last visited my gynae, my urine test (testing for sugar) was not good. My gynae is sending me for the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).
Did you (or any one else) have to go for this test too?
I shall go Mini Toons tonight after work :tlaugh:Yes yes, I think if we're going to be buying it for the crawling phase we might as well put it to good use sooner - stretch the dollar a bit haha!
The Miffy one on sale only came in M size at the fair so we bought that one - I suppose it depends also on where you are planning to place it, e.g. dimensions of your living room? Baby's room? At first I wanted to get an L size (planning long term) but it may be very cumbersome to clean - e.g. if I want to drag it to the bathroom to rinse it.
Heard from my friend who previously used the jigsaw A-B-C foam types - she said it was very difficult to clean because you need to unassemble the pieces and then reassemble them, and there are many grooves in between the pieces to trap dust and dirt... so I figured that a one-piece mat would be easier for maintenance and cleaning. The ones at Mini Toons are also one piece, I think? Also quite cute, and I think those are cheaper and not as heavy as the ones from Small Small World, so can consider those as well.
Yes, I will be taking the OGTT at my next checkup at 28 weeks. I think it's a standard test for all preggy ladies at around that stage of pregnancy, to check for gestational diabetes? When I last visited my gynae, my urine test (testing for sugar) was not good.
