EDD September 2013 Mummies

@ mumsept, Oscar test consist of a blood test n a scan to determine if bb has a high risk of Down syndrome... Think nt compulsory esp if u r young...

@ mumsept, how long do u hav to wait to see ur gynae if u reach on time? I'm with KKH too.. When I book with my gynae, I'm told I can see him either at specialist clinic or private suite... When I ask nurse wats the diff, she jus tell me I have to pay abit more at private suite! Duh.. Wat kind of reply is tat?

2ndtimelucky: I'm w KKH private suite too. Even if U reach on time, you'll still have to wait.

Come probably about 15mins earlier. The usual procedure will be: check height/weight, blood pressure and urine test. If U have been scheduled for a scan, come 30mins earlier, do e scan, e procedure before U see ur gynae.:D

I'm with KKH private suite too! It seems like a shorter waiting time at the private suite and u can collect your medication there after the consultation.

The last time I was 30mins early, and Dr saw me on time. Register, went for the routine check then wait for awhile (finished a cup of water's time).

If you dun want to wait too long, I suggest you book early in the morning or right after 2pm (lunch time) so most prob u are the first patient. :)

My Oscar results are good and it's three months so it's time to announce to my friends. I managed to Not tell anyone at all during these three months.

My ms is on and off still.. When will it go away? Yesterday so drama, vomit in public :(

Thks for the explanation on KKH private suite...! Hee I was totally confused by the nurses when they dun seem to b able to tell me the difference. Anyway I ended up deciding to go to the KKH clinic at AMK cos nearer to my house.. They have all e basic stuff there so I only nd to go KKH for the Oscar n detailed scan...

@StellaC, wa u really managed to keep it from everyone? I wasn't too successful cos pple kept commenting I put on weight!!
But I'm so glad now can openly tell people liao! =D

@2ndtimelucky... thanks for the explanation on the oscar test. I did the DS package b with kkh. Did my blood test in late feb n going for the detailed scan in end mar.
Im with the private suite as well the waiting time for the doc is acceptable abt 15 mins or less. Not sure abt the specialist clinic. The charges r based on whether the consultant tat u r seeing is a senior consultant n whether u r visiting the doc during normal WD or after office hours

StellaC: Happy for you that your OSCAR test results are good! There were a few times I had the urge to vomit on public transport, but I tried to swallow my saliva to prevent the vomit. Awful feeling. I had to include a plastic bag in my bag, incase the nauseous feeling comes.

Sunbeams: I heard it's 14 weeks... seems so long...

Yes, me too. At the very beginning week 3 onwards I had swelling going on.It hurts at the nipple. Super hurtful.Continues to swell from week 6 onwards but does not hurt anymore until week 10. At week 10, no more swelling till now.

Lotsa forums/babycentre mentioned 14 week. But, at week 13 I am still having nausea in the evening and sometimes in the morning/afternoon if I didn't eat on time. But evening at 6.30pm onwards it just happen whether n empty or full stomach.
Dr mentioned I maybe miscalculated on my dates(LMP) as the baby seems to be lagging behind 1 week-2 weeks. Scary, but it's growing based on my last visit(week 12).Maybe, the nausea was pretty bad from week 8 that I didn't consume my prenatal vitamins(Have weird taste and smell to it). However, I did eat my rice/noodle regularly..and apple.

The first three weeks I had severe ms and stayed with my mum, cos my hubby went for reservist. I cried a lot too during that time. Try to rest more and think positive. The ms will eventually become easier to handle and will go away. I prayed alot during that time and i tell god that if its for the baby then i will willingly endure it, though it was so hard. I finally feel better nowadays and very thankful for it.
Wah,StellaC, you were so strong back then with no hubby for 1st 3 weeks? I cried alot too during that period... once he was back from work, I felt all better. I felt like a little girl.Probably because it's my 1st pregnancy and September 2012 I just got married. And my parents are both working so I'm all alone at home. Felt so alone in this. Plus the nausea, giddiness...But, felt all better now with hubby and a good friend support.

I thought I was going into depression during that time... Our parents forbid us to tell anyone else so I can only cry alone or cry and my mum and brother console me.
Now it's better I can cook my own meals. I still afraid to go to work cos I get very very tired when I reach office and end up nauseous and giddy at my table :( so today I'm at home again ...

Anyones ms has cleared up already? I'm wondering how it feels to have no ms now.... Lol. I think I'd be overjoyed and shout for joy.
When ms has cleared, can we eat like normal (before pregnancy) again? Or do we still have to eat small meals and feel bloated after eating?
