WHEN to Introduce solids
You should not introduce solids to baby before six month of age.
Reason: To minimize the risk of allergic reaction.
This is especially important for parents who have family history of eczema, food allergies, asthma. My family has no history of food allergies but being a concerned mother, I was especially careful on what solids to introduce to my son.
The following are some salient points as to why you should delay introducing solids to your baby.

loves, looks like ur boi almost ready....but, dun rush into it....cos most impt is he must be able to sit up with support n his head must be steady, if not risk of choking is extremely high...

maybe now u can read up more n list down a list of foods u wanna start ur boi on once he is ready....a list like this will be good for u cos u noe wot to buy next when ur boi is ready :)

usualli first foods will be rice cereal, pumpkin, sweet peas, sweet potato, potato, spinach, cooked apple, cooked pear :)

nt tt stable yet wait awhile more . Best to feed solid after 6 mth . When DS 4 mth old i kiasu give cereal liao . He oso can sit supported bt head not steady too . Bt when i tried it out on solid he wasn't ready yet . So i waited until 6 mth and introduce porridge and he loves it from his first mouth .

Actually better consult a doctor 1st before feeding solid for less than 6 months infant...

It's always best to intro solids till after 6 months cuz their digestive system are better or matured...

My ds now can sit up without any support for a awhile, eyeing on the food I eat & will open his mouth or use his hands to push mine towards his mouth when he's around 5 months... But I still want till he's 6 months then I will intro ceral/solid food, which is tomorrow... :shyxxx::shyxxx:
