Hi Angel and friends!

Angel, i wish you well during this critical 2ww period!

This thread seem extremely popular, and I'm glad so! Because I too am exploring the option of undergoing an IVF. The only twist is that I'm currently single and I'm seriously considering to be a single mother by choice (IVF + sperm donation being a likely method). Would you know anything about that? Hope somebody could advise or guide me.

thanks and take care :)

Hi flowergirl,
If im not wrong I dont think its legal in singapore to be single mum via IVF.
Because they need to see our marriage Cert.
But maybe u can call them to ask. More accurate infro.

Hi ladies..

Am new to this thread too..

39, married 5 years, TTC 4 years. Will be seeing Dr. H H Tan of KKHIVF next Tues. We're both currently taking TCM to "tiao" and prep our bodies to conceive. Hub initially had bad "soldiers" but after consuming the TCM med for 20 months, his SA results now show good improvement. So we hope IUI will do for us and also not hving to take the jabs. That's the one thing I hope we dont have to do.

39, married 5 years, trying to concieve 4 years. Will be seeing Dr. H H Tan of KKHIVF next Tues. We're both currently taking traditional chinese medicine to "tiao" and prep our bodies to conceive. Hub initially had bad "soldiers" but after consuming the traditional chinese medicine med for 20 months, his SA results now show good improvement. So we hope IUI will do for us and also not hving to take the jabs. That's the one thing I hope we dont have to do.
Hi Ameldat,
i have been seeing KKIVF since 2011 when I was 38. I was hesitant like you then to take on the needles, so I tried 2 IUI with failures (1st try low sperm count, 2nd try hubby too stressed to produce). IUI proved too stressful on my hubby as it demands his production on the day i ovulate. That led us to the ivf journey which gave me a cute and bubbly son, now 16 month old. i am trying for no. 2 with my frozen embies, praying hard that this cycle works as it is my last frozen embryo. i will have to go for my 2nd ivf fresh cycle a.k.a. the injections if this round fails, and with age the egg quality are really not as good.

I have been in this forum for couple of years now and finally I fit into this thread :p

Thanks sphyaw for sharing your success story. It's encouraging for me who is embarking on IVF coming cycle.

I just turned 42. MC twice in 2012. Been on TCM quite diligently. Am with Dr Sadhana @ KKHIVF.

After more than a year of natural ttc (since my last MC in Dec12), I've decided to take the plunge of medical intervention. Didnt like the idea all along really. But my sinseh even encouraged me to go ahead since he says "that's nothing unnatural about IVF. All you're getting is medical assistance. Everything behind it is natural". I can't say I dont agree with him.

So for those who chuck IVF aside all along, perhaps just open our mind (I did!). Of course I still believe in all natural but if all other methods have been exhausted, and of course my age is ticking faster, I feel IVF may be able to help.

sphyaw, can I know for your first ET, how many ebbies were transferred? How many frozen embies you have now? And how many will be transferred this time? Thanks.

Hi sphyaw and dragontail..

Thanks for sharing. Just went to see Dr HH Tan/KKHIVF this afternoon. Did some tests and scheduled to see him again in 3 weeks for the results. Scope shows that I have good quantity of reserves, but still waiting for blood tests to confirm. Hubby's sperm quality not ideal for IUI (according to Dr Tan), but we both dont have the peace to do IVF at this juncture. We'll probably still try IUI first and decide from there. Not sure, still need time to pray about it though.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am married for almost 4 years and TTC for 3... As my hubby and I already 34yrs old, we told our doctors that We want to try IVF straight away but our doctor told us in Singapore, we have to go through at least 3 cycle of IUI b4 we can try IVF... Is it true?

Hi. Never heard before "must do IUI before ivf". I think that's nonsense sorry! Who is this doc?

I went to kkh to seek ivf specialist and I'm on it straight away. But i needed to share with her that we have been ttc for 2years with no avail.
