Apollo, in KL, stay HOTEL FORTUNA. It's 3 star (cheap) but good & clean. They renovated recently. It's along BUKIT BINTANG. They have an Arab restaurant below the hotel. Walking distance to food, shopping, massage, etc etc! We used to stay there very often before we got the KL condo.

From there, you can easily get cab to go elsewhere for shopping too.
I recommend you take cab (go by meter) to Mid Valley. Go in the morning after breakfast, you will spend 1 day there. Got Jusco, Metro, and alot of small shops.
If you like Penang food, there's a shop at the Centre Court which serves very good Penang food. Yum yum!!!

Wah! I think about KL, I also wanna go again! I jio my friends to drive up but need to wait till her hb finish probation on his new job and get leave first


Ting, no point wasting money on wedding cake. Serious. Spend it on a nice wedding favour instead. My cake was 4 tiered (I think). Only bottom tier is real, the rest all fake. End up no one eat at all

And the fake cake is custom made by the caterer, so I like it alot! heehee

If you intend to do garden wedding, you need to check out the following:
Cost of rental of venue (yes, even outdoor spaces need to pay rental) - Depending on quantity, you can choose to book the 'rooms' or buildings. Mine was Fort Canning GALLERY. You can check out pictures on NParks webby. Best if you can make a trip down to the NParks office at Fort Canning, they will bring you on a buggy tour to see the different locations and show you pics of past events.
Cost of catering - Price depends alot on what you need. Do you want them to do everything for you or you prefer to source for table, etc etc on your own? For me, I got the caterer to do everything for me. Less stress. & they gave me a super good price. $15k on food for 20 banquet tables (dinner) and 400pax buffet lunch (ROM), including tables, chairs (with cloth covers & ribbons), staff for serving, chinaware (not disposable utensils - even for buffet), mobile kitchen license and rental, fresh flower decorations, wedding cake, stage deco, etc etc.

The above 2 are the main bulk of the costs.
Add around 5k for misc stuff. You'll get a more accurate budget from there.

i hv arnd 22 tables, if gallery, isit enuf space? including set up of buffet table?
yours is mum's kitchen too right?? i also saw their services, n probably will get everything from them.
cos less hassle, n see if they can quote me a better price too.
gg to ask my sis to order for them for her buffet lunch for ROM so can also try their food.
