i also, failed 6IUI.. then i read once you have blockage, no point doing.. i wonder why doctor never say... wasted so much time and money but at least i put an effort still.

i agree also, since i have 2 FE, i will go for it after talking to my hubb, but will still ask Dr Loh, if again faint, i will have antoher fresh cycle then that's it.. cos no more medisave and goverment subs...

As i know ET can't claim govt co-funding cos not consider as fresh cycle.

Did u consider to seek advise from Chinese medicine during 2 cycle break? In order to Tia your body since western don't have further treatment.

I was told FET is between $1700 to $2500 only.. can claim under medisave but will be consider as 2nd time so i am left with 1 more for medisave (XXCrossed fingers) hope i dont need it until 2nd baby).

Heard SF Loh is leaving on 31 Dec, so no point for me to see him, cos if i do at the end i will be referred to another doc, so i may as well stick to Dr Chan and enjoy the sub rate again. very fast, my appot with him is tmr... meanwhile, any suggestion what i should do to "Tia" my body.. drink more chicken essence, i am still continuing on Folic...

Afoomi - ya, i agree, i also cried for it... but still.... nothing we can do.... seeing every friend of mine, 1 after another all having baby really envy them so so so much.... 2 embryo, all i need just 1.. at least give me 1 baby..... why is it so diff.....???

If this is your first time, I think it will be at least 2.5 mths before you can start ivf. When everything is normal, the next month was to check whether the fallopian tubes are blocked. It was only in the 3rd that we can proceed with any assist reproductive procedures. Hope this helps with your decision.

I have some lab test report from my previous gynae..so hope that it will shorten the wait.. In this case, I think I can only go for part-time assignment.. Is the checkup very frequent prior the process? I understand that need to Q very long..

My 1st appt in kk on Apr'11, all the test & check done on May'11. Then start fix Ivf appt on May'11, but my Q was on sep'11. Ivf process will take about 1.5 month. Total waiting time & Ivf process = 7 month.

As I know some ladies from this forum, their waiting time is less than 5 month. So waiting time is depending cases by cases basis. See how lucky u are!

Be prepared there is 2 week hospital leave given after embro transfer, besides on & of u need to take AM half leave for scanning. You may give negative impression to ur employer & little stress. Unless u wouldn't care.

Wow.. that's a long wait..My first appt with Dr Marianne Hendrick on 1 Nov.. that's the fastest as per the booking gal.. so I have to ask her on my 1st appt how long do I need to Q for IVF? which mean I will need to wait till Apr next yr... aiyo... den dragon yr hard liao...Any ladies here under her too?

In my case, I was treated as private patient as we wanted a female gynae, but I think I pay about 2.5 more for each consultation than those with referrals from polyclinics. Maybe for paying more, the wait time was shorter, not sure..

Me under Dr Hendrick, she look young & very rush when met her on my last appt.

I can't comment too much yet since meet her one time only.

Hi,

Govt co-funds are given for IVF fresh cycle regardless registered as private patient, up to max of 3 cycles. If both couple(given by KK as at 1/1/2011);
Spore citizen+Spore citizen = 50% up to $3K
Spore citizen+Spore PR = 40% up to $2.4K
Spore citizen+Foreigner = 25% up to $1.5K

Medisave can be used for 3 treatments only at $6K, $5K & & $4K for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd treatment respectively.

Estimated Ave cost per cycle(KK) = $9K-$11K
