Ain, glad to know u are healing well too... I'm healing well too, just that I'm not taking that much water.. For Chinese, we believe that taking plain water during confinement can cause wind.. But I'm not following them strictly.. Haha, curi curi drink but not as much.. My doc did not say anything about anything for healing.. But I've heard from new mummies now that don't care just drink as you need alt f water consumption if u breast feed... I was given the stool softener ... But passing motion and urine does not hurt that bad...
Yes!! I do have the cramps!!! I tot there might be something wrong with me..lucky u told me what it was!! Haha

How's yr baby? My baby cried alot during the night and sleeps well during the day.. Probably is colic.. Tomorrow going to polyclinic for jaundice check up... So gonna ask doc for colic drops...

And my milk kicks in yesterday too.. Initially there was nothing.. And bb cry alot due to hungry... So devastated, I pump my breast to have quicker flow.. Now milk has kicked in, but I think the flow is either slow or alright... My mil keeps saying my milk not enough and keep feeding bb formula milk.. Pissed me off sometimes...

Kary, yes.. My suggestion is to take epi for first timers as we dilate slower... The anesthetic specialist told me that the side effects differs for each individual.. Some might not have it at all... At that point of pain, you will not think so much, even I have prepared myself for no epidural has to give in and take the jab.. But good thing is, u can rest and relax and safe your energy for the push which is really important....

Have a safe delivery and my prayers with you...

Maybe you could massage it ? Maybe it would help ... What did you bring to hosp ? And what items you didn't use ? Care to share ? :) haven't packed my bag. Hahaha.

Jojoai, these are the important things you will need to bring:

- toiletries
- necessary documents for admission/claim(if you chose private)/application for CDA/baby bonus/baby's birth cert
- jacket/socks
- camera
- hp charger
- clothes for you to wear when discharge from hospital

As for the hospital(SGH), they do provide:

For you:

For baby:
- huggies baby diapers
- two baby blankets
- two baby shirts
- baby wipes

Felicity, today the massage lady will come. Hopefully everything will be ok afterwards. I tried pumping out some, now feeling better. :)

Kary2500, you can actually choose to reduce the dosage of the epi or cut off the epi during the pushing part. I was advised by the dr to cut off the epi so i would feel the pain/contraction so you can control your body. I was told to push whenever i feel the pain. It was like pushing out the pain :) i guess if you reduce the epi you would only feel some pressure during push.

Huh? Need to sit straight? I'm binded n lying in bed now :p hope we all get back in shape soon after all the massaging!! :D

I was told to go toilet in 4 hrs after delivery and call for nurse to assist... I think I went in the late afternoon maybe 4-5 hrs after delivery. The nurse helped me lower the bed n get out of bed, and I managed to walk (very awkwardly) to toilet myself n walk back..

If you're sitting need to sit straight, best is lying down la... Cus I'm tending over Bb myself, so I have to be up and about..

Mine is nurses told me I need to urine within 6 hrs, during the first 6 hrs I urinated, and nurse will help me on my bed... After 6 hrs, then nurse will assist me to the toilet and wait for me!!! So awkward.. Haha

Lol.. For me the nurse had even follow me to the toilet and see me pee.. So embarassing! They just need to ensure that we are able to feel our muscle back/urge to pee after vaginal delivery.

I just finished my massage and is binded as well.. Im walking like a robot now. Lol. My baby did get a massage too and he enjoyed it so much! And he is now in a deep sleep :)

Kary2500, no worries, i was just like you, so many questions to ask, first timer mah.. :)
I was only allowed to walk 6hrs after the delivery. You will need to use wheelchair to go anywhere or a nurse to assist you to walk.
