Hi ebi,

congratulations and nice meeting u :D

i had a miscarriage in Jul at about 6wks. no news to share as yet, but i just got my 3rd menstral cycle after my miscarriage so i'm gonna start trying again soon. *excited* :D

yes yes...it's been awhile since we last chat. i was super duper busy at work and had some issues with hub awhile back. but glad that we have worked things out and things are back to normal now.

i'm doing ok, and hoping to get a BFP on my this cycle. do pray for me :)

how about u? when is your EDD? :)

Hey lishan, glad to hear you sorted out issues with your hubby! :) hehe happy bd this cycle! I'm due in early Feb next yr... I still cannot believe that I passed the halfway mark... Heh! I see your bto flats from time to time... Seems like it's building v fast!!

Hi gals, so sorry to interrupt here.. can anyone recommend me a good, reassuring, caring and experience female gynae to me? I had bad experience with previous gynae before so hopefully can have a female gynae who is not too stern. Thanks in advance!

Hi gals, can anyone share with me if doing acupuncture together with TCM medication will help in regulating menses? If taking TCM medicine alone doesn't help much?? My menses is not regular and this mth only brownish blood.

Hi dreamycoco, thks for yr recommendations. Will this gynae always order expensive test for just a normal checkup for womb to see causes of irregularity of menses? I have low threshold of pain... she is skilful rgt?

Can anyone tell me what do I expect if I were to consult a gynae to find out the causes of my irregular menses.. if I need to take any hormones pills or contraceptive pills etc.. what test is usually done by a gynae? I do not wish to do vaginal scan, abdominal scan is still the same rgt? I want to seek TCM help but I also wish to check if there is any prob to my ovaries that lead to this prob. But I am fear of the side effects if the gynae is to give me hormones pills to take for long term..

Crystalpink, i know you have a lot of questions running in your head now… the best is let the gynae checks on you and he/she will be at the best position to share what you might need (further tests/medication/etc). For me, although I have regular mense and also ovulate regularly, it was suspected I have fibroids and thus I was sent to another clinic to do further detailed scan. Everyone is different.

The only way to check for any thorough womb issue is by transvaginal. Not adominal scan.

I feel if you have concerns on fertility, just go straight to a recommended gynae/fertility specialist. Nike motto : JUST DO IT. Fear will only hold back precious time.

Hi dragontail, thks for yr advise. Yes, Im quite lost now n fear that I may menopause soon if I still don't ovulate regularly although Im still far away from menopausal age. I do heard some women menopause at young age due to poor health etc.. I had consulted Dr Su last yr but have stopped for just a couple of mths. The medicine is heaty n I gave up coz it is still not very regular n blood flow is little. Im petite maybe that's the reason blood flow also not much.. My womb is too cold n lack of blood n "Qi". Shall I continue to seek tcm n do acupuncture to warm my womb or shall I seek gynae help to take medicine like "clomid" to help me ovulate? My problem is I cannot ovulate as DR Su told me before if my blood flow is not red n too little, then I am not ovulating. Last 2 mths my menses came within 34days ( red blood ) , this mth only brownish blood for 3days which means no ovulation at all.

I had done abdominal scan 4 yrs ago, and my uterus lining is thin so everythg is fine. Hormones blood test also normal that time. I think my estrogen level is low that's why irregular menses. Dr only prescribed me hormones pills( contraceptive pills) for short period, thereafter my menses came. I scared of side effects like breast cancer so I did not continue taking the medicine. Now im lost, I feel seeking gynae will see immediate results if need to take medicine to help in ovulation.. but tcm will be slow. Now Im stuck if I should try western medicine to boost up my estrogen level..

Crystalpink, I understand your anxiety. But no way you're going to have menopause earlier than me because I am 41 :)

If I were you, go see an alternative help. See a fertility specialist and not just a gynae. Most of the time, western and chinese medicine work hand in hand. I mean I would think not having red blood during af is no doubt a concern....get a 2nd opinion. At least you are fair to yourself and hear what a 2nd help can offer. Then you decide if you wanna see dr su again.

Clomid is not for everyone too. I think will be appropriate one dont jump into conclusion what medical help suits. Let the professional step in.

Crystalpink these are just my personal thoughts la. Afterall I haven't got bfp. For past 1year plus, I tried tcm and fertilty specialist. Mc twice though. I am still trying though I have stopped tcm nor going to a doc.

How old are you may I know?
