Oh hehee thought all ladies are in this thread for ttc. In this case you can see a gynae perhaps. Er...if you dont want to conceive than does it matter if you ovulate? Sorry I might have missed out something.

Bfp = preggie :) had it twice but they were not viable.

Oh if one does not ovulate regularly, then slowly may lead to early signs of menopause as what I heard from gynae. Will also age faster n high chance of hving heart disease etc. Lastime I also don't bother if my menses ever come or not, but ever since I heard gynae said that he ever met patients who menopause at 30 plus! some at 45. He said its not normal at all..

Btw, dragontail, does acupuncture really helps in menses to come regularly? previously u did yr acupuncture for 2 times per wk or 1 time per wk? I tried before.. but diff tcm dr did differently for acupuncture. Did your tcm dr put one needle at yr womb or more? Mine only one needle on the lower abdomen n heat up..

Wow I never knew that! My granny did menopaused at 38. So young right. but that was after she popped 8 children. My mom menopaused at late 50s or early 60s.

My acupuncture was purely for ovulation. I had at least a dozen of needles. One on the crown, few on both arms, legs, and tummy. Not sure if it helped...I dont have ovulation problem in the first place. My sinseh said the treatment is for stronger/healthier ovulation.

Ya.. n I think nowadays more n more women menopause early.. no gd for the bones also.. that is the disadvantage of being a woman. My mum feels its better to seek TCM help rather than taking western medicine at young age to avoid side effects. I also think so.. sigh.. If try western medicine, also need to try diff types of medicine to see which is suitable.. I scared of freckles which is common in western medicine. Don't think the gynae will allow me to try both at the same time.. Wah! Then your mum must be very healthy! She got take lots of TCM medicine to "tiao" her body ? usually menopausal age is between 50 to 55.

I see. That time I did my acupuncture was because I got insomnia n gastric bloated. So my sinseh also put 10 over needles on my body. Hands, legs, head, gastric n only one on lower abdomen. I guess he couldn't did so many needles at the same time to cure so many prob so only one needle for the womb. Maybe nextime I will ask him to forcuse on ovulating issues. Do u feel yr tummy very hot after the treatmt? Previously he forcused on my gastric n after the treatment, my upper tummy was super hot!!

Hi Crystalpink

When I first came to this forum, apart from the obvious TTC-ing, my period was delayed and like you, I worried about early menopause.
I am 37. Then I took the advice of all the girls here and started to take BBT (body basal temperature) more seriously and charting. and also supplements.
I do not see TCM because I am not used to that method. I see a naturopath instead.

I can understand your concerns and think you're doing well as a first step for getting good advice and insights here but are you trying to conceive or are you asking for gynae recommendations? I;m confused.

Congrats praying hard!!! Is that why you disappeared for so long?!? =p

Hi crystal pink- erm I am a lil' confused. So you aren't trying for a baby but you're looking for female gynae recommendations to kickstart a more regular menstrual cycle is it? Anyway I don't think abdominal scan is enough to see what's happening in the vagina. There are many reasons to irregular menstrual cycle which could be fibroids, polyps, eggs not being released. We aren't professionals here - so great that you are seeking for professional help. I suggest you see a gynae. Female gynaes - I personally don't know any.

Hi ebichan and littlej, yes Im here to read more on ways to seek help, tcm as well as gd gynae that could solve my problem. Coz in order to conceive, menses need to be regular.. n my prob is irregular menses. So Im thinking if I can sort this out, then there shouldn't be signs of early menopause. Anyway, if one were to hv cysts or fibroids, the menses should be long n heavy rgt? can I rule out this for my case since I don't hv heavy menses?? My menses is always delayed, between 30 to 45. Sometimes, skip a cycle. Lasted 3 to 5days only. Not heavy.. Btw, what is naturopath?

Hi Crystalpink,

i am seeing dr ann tan from paragon. You may go google for her. she is very experienced, but very quick to diagnose, becuz she is really experienced.

Checking for eggs, whether you are ovulating every month, checking for fibroids or polyps, that has to be done thru vaginal scan. Scan via tummy may not get to see much.

There are many ways to regulate Ovulation. I for one did not ovulate regularly. Dr ann tan helped me conceive my baby with ivf. I had super thin lining as well, but this can be corrected with some medication. I was 29 when i did my first ivf. I was on clomid before, but clomid didnt work for me. Clomid usually causes lining to be even thinner. So if you know you got thin lining, skip clomid. Dont think your doc will insist or force you to be on clomid.

You didnt share how old you are. Care to share? Just like Dragontail said, she is 40, i am 30. She is ovulating monthly and can get preggy naturally. I am not ovulating and cant get preggy on my own. Different people, different bodies.

i tried TCM before. EYS at paragon. I didnt think EYS is good. Stuck with it for 4-5 months (every week 2-3 times) before i stopped seeing becuz i didnt think TCM helped me at all. Other ladies here are seeing other TCM docs that have very good reviews. Maybe you can try?

Oh. another thing you can read up on. AMH level. It tells you the egg reserve you have in your body. It is done thru blood test. The lesser egg reserve you have in your body, the closer you are to menopause. The more eggs you have, you are likely to still continue ovulating (be it regular or not).

If you want to see someone to help you with easing into menopause, i think you can research on gynaes who deal specifically with 'Age Management'. Dr Ann Tan is one of them, but she is really really expensive. Most ladies go to see her mainly for IVF. I believe she helps women of differnt age groups and different types of female problems.

Good luck!

oh crystalpink, being petite doesnt equate to having thin lining. No link at all. I know some other petite ladies who are extremely fertile with very nice thick linings.

Hi Happilymarried, Thks for sharing.. I have sent PM to you. Yes, I heard of this Dr Ann Tan but I got no intention to do IVF, so don't think I will see her. I'm wondering how to check for any blocked tubes? Thru vaginal scanning as well? If the tubes are blocked, it should affect ovulation rgt? Oh that time when I did ultra sound scan for my womb, the Dr mentioned my ovaries no cysts, n thin lining which means no blood as at that point of time my menses was late. She also mentioned if too thick would lead to cancer. But that was just a brief explanation. Yes, I may want to continue with TCM . I stopped for quite some time as I got no patience .. maybe I shd take the medication as well as acupuncture. Oh what does AMH stands for?? Is it hormones blood test?? Will it be accurate if going for this blood test when im not hving my menses or after menses end??( coz that is the time when we are not ovulating)
