Thinking of trying but will be in BKK for a short holiday during that period so maybe have to wait for another cycle. Hope to hear you success story soon~!

Ladies, does taking clomid regulate ur menses? mine was super irregular but this cycle AF report on Day 31! I nvr so accurate b4. I juz went for blood test last mon to test for ovulation then today come AF? I got a shock when i go to the toilet. There was no spotting, juz direct normal flow.
Also, my gynae asked me to continue my clomid but i lost my prescription..which mean i had to skip my clomid for this cycle... clomid cannt be bought over the counter rite?

Hi apple, yea yes clomid help to regulate AF, I hv irregular cycles like 50 over days but tis 2 mths jul n aug AF reported exactly same date 22/7 & 22/8 average is 31days n I guess coming one shld come Ard 22sep too. Clomid need to prescribe by doc.

Hi gals, pretty quiet here, jus back fro my trip & AF reported half way during the trip, tired & demoralize again, do u tink I shld try So IUI orIVF directly? Is it cost effective if go straight to IVF?

Hi Eggscatcher.. so sorry to hear about that! :( Please don't give up okay?

Did your dr talk to you about IUI? I don't know if it's possible to skip from IUI to IVF directly... what my dr told me was min 3 cycles of IUI, if no success only then they will recommend IVF. IVF is quite invasive and takes a toll both physically and emotionally I think, not to mention the financial cost... :(

I've a 29/30 days cycle range... tried the Clearblue Dig Ovu kit & got a 'smiley' face @ Day 12 on 1st morning try, as per the suggested date on their web
(I was expecting btw Day 14-17 actually as per mobile apps). Hmmm...

eggcatcher I hope you had an enjoyable holiday though!

Some docs will not put you on ivf straight away. But my case I guess is different because of my age, plus MCs, etc. She started me on ivf straight away.

I feel it's good you're open to ART. The best person you should talk to now is a fertility specialist. Make an appointment and hear the doc out and explore your choices.

If you're below 40 and singaporean, ivf will not cost you any much cash upfront because you can pay by medisave plus govt cofunding.

Hi Dragontail, hw hv u been? My last appt I did asked the doc the difference between both methods, she said IVF have higher chance of success like 30% as is done in a lab but IUI is only 15% so it made me tempted to try it. I v scared of pain as my threshold is v low so it seems both are painful process :(

Hello everyone. My menses was late for 9 days before it finally appeared. As my menses is always on the dot n I know I will not strike it this month coz homework not done enough. I was worried as my menses late means my dec ivf will delay. I m so glad it came this month.

Hi I’m feeling fine and my next IVF transfer will happen about 2 weeks time. Times flies and omg it’s my third transfer already.

If your man has no major sperm issue, IUI could save you some “IVF agony”. My gf just announced last week that she got bfp from her first IUI.

To me, all these ART physical pain is peanut compared to the emotional and psychological part that come with it. But then, if you’ve decided on ART, then just do it and don’t worry too much. Life’s short; take the shot. =)

Mintminer, hope the xmas season is going to be damn good one for you.

I agree with Dragontail. The injections pain are minor as compared to the emotional stress. I hate injections n taking blood test but during Ivf, these becomes normal. But the stress n emotion at that time is too much to handle. I secretly cry for a few times as it was just too much to bear.

I think emotional stress is the worst compare to any other things.

Check with ur doctor n they will advise what is the best. For me, they decide is Ivf for me.

Dragontail, for my Ivf in dec, I dun wish for much, at least got some good eggs I will be happy. Wishing u all the best in your next Ivf.

Thanks mint. Yes we just hope for one good embie that sticks! I know of someone who was so depressed she got only 2 eggs. One of them got fertilised and transfered and she got BFP! So really we shouldnt be deceived by numbers. All we need is one good one.

Hi, my 2 colleagues jus announced their gd news & my cousin also expecting 3rd child, same age as me, so u noe the kind of stress, even my mum keep nagging me on 2015 target, including all my colleagues who asked me ytd, they tot I didn't wan to hv kid cos usually I would brush it off like too busy so not planning yet, but as time passes by, my faith & motivation jus slowly fade off and donno hw to ans them too. Sometimes, my hubby asked me abt it, I jus told him go adopt lo, cos I jus don't feel like gg for all check ups, scans & treatments anymore, it seems all the stress jus fall on the women, I can only pray upcoming treatment will succeed somehow & someday....
