Hi
You have to be brave for your kids... i realised you are also staying in woodlands... if u need someone to chat... can watsapp me at Phyllis 98200644... guess we should be ard the same age group... me 33 with 3 kids...
My boy is 6 months now and throughout my pregnancy with him, i only gain 5 kg and he's born 3.3kg. Ultimately, the focus should be on the baby's growth and not on the mummy's weight gain. Hope this helps.
I think its purely up to you as long as you introduce one new food at a time to ensure there is no allergy and the food is evenly pureed for the baby to swallow esp fish & meat. I personally use the double boil method to prepare the porridge but you might want to put every thing in the blender...
When my boy is about 2 weeks old, he take 90ml BM for every 2.5 to 3 hours / 90 ml FM for 3.5 to 4 hours. So it might not strictly be 60ml cos some babies have bigger appetite and i dun think ru yi yu cant apply for babies, just have to make sure don't apply at the umbilical cord area.
The same with my boy who is 5 month plus now. So i let him lay on my chest after milk and rub his back and quite effective and doesn't wake him up as well.
At this time, should be taking around 90ml - 100ml for 2.5 - 3 hrs. It depends on individual babies too... last time my gal (now 5 yr old) take 60ml every 2 hours. Small eater so frequent feeds. My boy is now 5 months, take 120 ml every 3 hours when he was 6 weeks old.
My boy is coming to 5 months old, drinking 170ml at around 10pm....then wakes up around 2 - 3am for 150ml & 6.30am for another 150ml and sleep until 8 plus. I guess its pretty normal for them to wake up more if they take in lesser amount of milk. So got to keep our fingers crossed and hope that...
I think its quite normal if he's a first time dad, my hubby also did the same when i had my gal 5 yrs back and it was really quite unbearable cos i got to do everything myself and he just do whatever he like and goes out with his friend as and when he wants. He only really starts to realise that...
If your baby is taking enough milk and the milk intake is good then there's no need to rush into giving solid food. My boy is 4 mth plus and i just started giving him a small amount (1 scoop) of EU Yan Seng Brown Rice (Cooked) with milk using bottle feeding.
For my 4 month old boy, i take 1 scoop (scoop of Formula Milk) of EYS Brown Rice with 200ml of hot water and mix. Thereafter, boil it for 10 mins to completely cook the brown rice. The amount of water to put depends on how much milk your baby drinks. My boy drinks 170ml so i add additional 30ml...
