Hi Cony,
It's better to avoid tea too, unless it's no caffeine kind. When having dinner with my friends in Ichiban they didn't allow me to drink the hot green tea lol.
By the way ladies, do you feel giddy and weak at times? I'm not sure is it cos I vomit more than I consume, been feeling...
I used to see her while i was still conceiving for some checkup tests. After tested positive, i tried to make appointment but have to wait a month. My TCM doc asked me to see a gynae as soon as possible due to weak body constitution so im seeing another private gynae now. :)
I'm also having...
Lost 2kg within a few weeks. Think due to very little intake of food and vomiting. I heard this is common in first trimester, but the nausea feeling is terrible. =_=
Hi nomnom, I seen Goh Shen Li before too. Very pretty and nice gynae. :)
Visited gynae today and opted for the Oscar test, He said it costs about $428 excluding gst. It will be at thomson medical centre. Where did you mummies go for the test? :)
If your body is the 'cooling' or weak type, would be best to avoid watermelon and pineapples, the latter is said to possibly trigger contractions, while watermelons is very cooling.
It's indeed a very trying period... a lot of food has to avoid while struggling with morning sickness and...
I'm thinking to arrange flexi-work hours after maternity leave to take care of the baby for at least the first 6 months, while having my mother in law to take care when I'm at work. After the first year will consider infant care.
But all these haven't yet been discussed with the family as...
For consultation charges in Private Suite I think should be around $100+-, you can see the fees here:

This doesn't include medicine and tests but I don't think they charge extra for...
If you are going KKH, you might want to consider The Private Suite. It's a bit more expensive than the normal clinics, but better service and shorter waiting time. Have you seen any gynae already?
Hello :)
Morning sickness seem to get worse as the weeks passed, I'm on my 8th week starting from today... Feel like puking the moment I woke up. Threw up a lot during the weekend.
Every meal is a headache, the thought and smell of food can cause nausea & puking instantly.
The only...
Hello MummyCarol, things are going great for you =)
I got the folic acid from Guardian Pharmacy, I vaguely remember it says can take before or after meals. As long you take it at the same time each day to avoid missing doses, it should be fine. :we2cute:
Hi xnasxrushx, I suggest you bring your wife to see the gynae as soon as possible to check. The gynae might prescribe hormone pills to stabilize the pregnancy.
Hello Cony =)
Actually not, my first ended prematurely. I can't really say I got over it yet, and I was advised to go for IVF in fact just few weeks ago, so this is a pleasant surprise. Nevertheless this is still high risk period so I'm taking extra precautions and stay relaxed about it...
Hello ladies & mummies-to-be,
My estimated due date is late May, now still early so hope to see all is good and well on my next ultrasound scan. :)
Hope this goes the same for every mummy too. Now is a crucial period and I'm also paranoid at times, but emotional well-being is very important...
Dear mummies, hope you all have been doing fine.
I received the bad news last week and the 2nd diagnosis today confirmed I am no longer in EDD July 2012 club. Will be in for a surgery tmr.
Was hoping to build friendships here with you mummies but guess I'm probably out of here for a while...

By the way I want to ask mummies, as Xmas is just around the corner, want to check if those honey baked ham can be taken? (provided they are heated again to kill bacteria)
Good morning Mummies! :)
Yingver, so exciting to see heart beats in ultrasound scan, isn't it? =D
I'm going for 2nd appointment on coming Wednesday, we couldn't see anything but a very tiny sac during the last checkup, hopefully everything is fine and we can see heartbeat this time round.
