any parent out there who have kids who are poorly motivated w/ average to below average academic grades and who are generally just not very persistent, persevering nor determined individuals? AND tried the programs mentioned with some success???
hi all... been lurking. i'm still bf-ing my ds who turns 2 yo next week! :Dancing_wub: altho it's only 2x a day now but still going strong... or rather my ds doesn't show any signs of let-up. it's part of the morning and nite rituals. more comfort and bonding than anything else.

my ds been going to the playground daily since he was 18 mo when we moved to a place which had one! yay!! he loves it and we are fortunate to have it all to ourselves in the mornings, usually. but even when kids are around, they've generally looked out for the younger ones, so whew!

i'm very ks... i gave my ds separate jabs for polio and DTP. haven't done hep b or mmr becos paed also said not really nec if not going to childcare yet...
eczema is a very irritating skin issue for many children (and their parents!)... i've noticed from friends' and family's kids that it's very often food-related.
no wonder... additives, preservatives, colourings... all very common culprits.
also, dairy products... another culprit.

julee, you r so exactly right... after all, what is teaching? any moment can be a teachable moment and that's why the best form of 'teaching' is merely spending time with your child interacting. i so agree with you.

stonton, is it?? mine's just called organic children. it's mandarin flavour and my boy doesn't find it repulsive, so i think should be ok. spicy? my boy would use it anyway!!
no regrets absolutely! the wonder years are only so short... and they are such important years becos i've first hand experience of how overdoting and permissive grandparents and horrible maid resulted in an insecure child with low self-esteem, no motivation, helplessness etc.... very sad...
